Simultaneously, I was studying the crime culture on the Costa. The result was the character Penelope Eames. I loved this book, it has a story that keeps you invested and the characters were well developed and believable with lots of great insights into why people are like they are. I love anything Irish and English and this book had both of those and Spain!

It's ideal for a long car journey or anytime when you need to pass the time both diverted and entertained but it's not super heavy or too emotional, just real and easy to listen to. The narrator did a great job, there were a lot of accents. I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I wanted to like the story but the narrator kept me jumping in and out of the story. The voice and accent kept grabbing my mind and moving me from the story. I have eye issues so can't really read any more hence my love of audiobooks. Perhaps if I had read the story I would have gotten more from it.
