Before the man he's never met smiles down at him and says, 'Welcome back. In this world he's woken up to, Jason's life is not the one he knows. His wife is not his wife. His son was never born. And Jason is not an ordinary college physics professor, but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable. Something impossible. Is it this world or the other that's the dream? And even if the home he remembers is real, how can Jason possibly make it back to the family he loves? This time the women are fighting back Five days ago a rash of bizarre murders swept the country.

Seemingly unconnected A cop walked into a nursing home and unloaded his weapons on elderly and staff alike. A mass of school shootings. Prison riots of unprecedented brutality. Mind-boggling acts of violence in every state. Your name is Jack Colclough. You have a wife, a daughter, and a young son.

You live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A Literary Life

People are coming to your house to kill you and your family. You only have time to run! This book starts out with a bang and just keeps going along at a pretty rapid pace. Something affects people and the next thing you know they start killing each other for no apparent reason. The book follows Jack and his family who are trying to get to safety throughout the book.

No one seems to know why the killing is going on but later on in the book we find out. I say the book isn't for everyone because of the violence in it which some people might be disturbed by. Jack and his family are traveling from New Mexico, heading north toward Canada in hopes of finding safety.

Along the way they run into many obstacles and hardships which they must overcome. The book is about survival and being on your own in a mostly unfriendly world that is trying to kill you. The narrator did a good job. I noticed in many reviews people didn't like the female voices he used but I didn't have any trouble with them. I read this book years ago and loved it then. Listening to it performed was even better.

It is so easy to fall into the trappings of daily life and take for granted what matters. This book reminds me that the grind of "making a life" can sometimes take away from truly living and loving. I don't need many reminders, I have lived through enough ugly to cherish all that is beautiful about my life.

However, this book sure does remind me how close to edge we all live and how quickly it could all change. I am so glad I listened again as I had forgotten the story it had been so long since I had read it. This one is going in my "To read again" folder for sure. What a edge of your bed excitement. I could not put it down.

The characters are so real, and find themselves in very precarious life and death situations. If you like a book with a tons of excitement this is a must read for you. Sleep is difficult for me I awake least 10 times a night, so I listen to many books to re-focus My mind to good stories instead of the constant pain! A wonderful experience so dynamic I couldn't focus on anything but the read!

That was one intense story There is never a dull moment! Love Reading Blake Crouch, this was another twisted tale I could not put down. From the moment this book starts, it grabs you. Intense, suspenseful and thrilling; this is full of action and authentic emotion. Highly recommend. Each character pulled you in in a different way. Would you try another book written by Blake Crouch or narrated by Phil Gigante? I have and they have been better. What could Blake Crouch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? This was well written but nothing new.

What do you think the narrator could have done better? The female voices were a bit annoying. Was Run worth the listening time?
