She decides to marry Gareth after all but seeing him two times and while he is rumoured to be a murderer and talks about "breaking" her, after she proposes. I guess that's a perfectly normal reaction in the world of the author. Gareth's caharacter is moving too fast, too soon where Beatrice is concerned. He throws her in deep -BDSM- waters and expects her to swim like a pro. He is driven to take down her barriers and penetrate her cold facade right from the start, but not because he wants to know Beatrice.

It's her full submission in sex that he is after and is totally single-minded about it. Even more so, the idea of love didn't even grow in these two until the villain of the story showed up to rush out their "emotions" towards each other. The fact that a bad guy was needed for them to blurt it out, only seemed forced. A kinda "let's patch it up and get it over with" feeling to end the novel already.

All in all, I can't say I'd recommend this one for entertainment purposes. Oct 03, Megan rated it really liked it Shelves: Book 3 in the Albright Sisters series.

Unfortunately, this is the third and final book as we find out what happens to the youngest sister, Winifred, near the end of the book. Which, to me is very disappointing, as I was counting on being able to read the story about the youngest sister in her own book. This story is about the third oldest Albright Book 3 in the Albright Sisters series. This story is about the third oldest Albright sister, Beatrice, who, while beautiful, is something of a shrew. At the beginning of the book Beatrice learns that Miranda is going to take Winifred under her wing in order to find her a good husband.

Beatrice realizes that this would leave her along with her mother for most likely the rest of her life. She decides that she needs to find a husband, any husband, fast so she can escape her mother. But, with her prickly nature, and fewer invitations arriving every day- who will take her? Gareth Berenger, Marquis of Highcroft, is a widower. He has no heirs. He has every intention of trying to honor her last request. But, with the ton believing that he murdered his late wife, who will take him?

But, even if he can get past that obstacle, he has certain requirements in his bedding partner. Could a future wife- and how would he make sure? Beatrice and Gareth meet and quickly realize what the other one is looking for- a marriage. If Beatrice can fulfill his requirements in the bedroom for two weeks then he will wed her. If not, he will place a large sum of money on her to make up for her lack of virtue. I wanted to give this book 5 stars, as I thought every other book in the series so far has been 5 stars.

However, while I absolutely loved the hero, Gareth, I felt that at the end the bridge from lust to love was very weak and unbelievable. In the other two previous books the characters loved each other long before they announced it. This is not the case in this book. Only when something happens to Beatrice at the end do both of them realize they love each other.

Fans of the series will enjoy seeing Miranda and Ethan again. However, you only get to hear about Jeremy and Penelope. There is a very satisfying short Epilogue that takes place 5 years later that fans will enjoy. However, for me, it was not enough to satisfy my curiosity for the youngest sister. Este fica surpreendido com a sua ousadia. Bem, Beatrice decide arriscar e ambos fazem um pacto. Fico a aguardar uma nova obra de Jess Michaels. Feb 07, Nicole rated it liked it. Though I enjoy Jess Michaels as an author, one thing that's always bothered me about her is that while she's advertised as Erotica, she's more Erotica Lite.

It's slightly more risque sex than you'd find in a normal romance novel, but I feel like it just hovers over the line between romance and full on Erotica. This book is no different. While I could accept it for what it was in her previous books, I had a hard time with it in this one. I was intrigued when Gareth's BDSM tendencies were revealed towards the beginning of the book, but I feel like a lot of things were promised with it, but were never followed through on.

It lightly skimmed the surface of his sexual preferences and I was left wondering why certain things in his secret room were brought up at all if there was never any intention of using it. Another problem I had with the book was the heroine. I just didn't find her likable at all. She spent a majority of the book as a bitch, belittling those she felt under her and, while she gave a reason and felt guilt for it, I don't feel like it excused her behavior at all.

When she eventually turned into a nice girl, it felt forced and it wasn't believable. I also thought that the sudden addition of a villain in the book's last pages was completely unneeded. While I was somewhat entertained by this book, I think it's definitely Michaels' weakest showing so far. Hopefully the next is a vast improvement. View all 3 comments.

E pergunto-me quem traduz "pleasure" por gozo neste contexto especial.

It's more of a 1. I think the author has no imagination at all. She fooled me through the whole book. I excepted a depth that never came So Beatrice Albright is the third sister, the one who feels that has been put aside by her mother and sisters. Gareth is the marquis of Highcroft, who's been acused of killing his first wife. Beatrice longs to set free from her mother's domain, and seems to throw herself into other kind of domain.

Gareth is sometimes tender, and that's why I haven't given a It's more of a 1. Gareth is sometimes tender, and that's why I haven't given a 1 to this book. For Beatrice is claimed to be wild and determinated and impossible to manipulate during the whole book, but I never saw her resisting him. But I actually felt ashame of having bough it and read it so fast. I think I can blame its short size and its general lightness. Truth is the book is nothing but sex - very little of other contents. Don't think I'll ever read it again. Enganou-me durante o livro todo. Baixei as expectativas e foi a melhor coisa que fiz!

Unfortunately, I found the heroine barely tolerable. Lame reasons for Beatrice's bratty behavior are explained. Garreth, the hero, was I did manage to complete this story about two ill-reputed people who try to determine sexual compatibility for marraige. Apr 11, Greselley rated it it was amazing. Although the heroine is stubborn and a bitch even the first time she was introduced in these series, I can't really hate her.

In this book, the author is able to explain clearly how and why she is like that even before the start of the story. You will see that she really didn't like the way she distanced herself from her family but that's the only way she knew where she can protect herself from the pain of being alone.

You see, this heroine is on her seventh season of finding a husband and she MUST find one as soon as possible. So she stare boldly to any man in the ballroom who ALWAYS look away from her since she is known to be a bitch, shrew whom gentlemen strongly wanted to avoid.

She is desperate and the only solution for her problem is to marry a gentleman who is also undesirable like her. Here comes, the hero who was accused to be one who killed his wife and was shut out from society.

His grandmother wanted him to remarry so to honor that request, he came back to society to find a bride but ladies who were supposed to be the potential brides hide from their fans, gossiped about him and mostly, fear to be near him. But not this Ms. Beatrice Albright who stare at him straight at his eye without so much than a blink. But he was shocked when she cornered him at the park laying down her proposal of marriage. As much as he was shocked by her boldness, she interests him so he laid down a test which is for a fortnight, she will submit to him in his bed.

He expected her to cower and run but much more to his surprise, she accepted.

Nothing Denied

Yet somehow it wasn't pain she feared or regretted. The closer she is to what she knew would be the end the more she was saddened. Saddened by the fact that Gareth would know she had suffered. When he saw her, it would surely break him and wreck him with guilt that he hadn't protected her.

I think this book has something that was missing in other of Jess Michael's books. I really couldn't point out what. Great book if you could truly appreciate it. Dec 06, multitaskingmomma rated it it was amazing Shelves: This final chapter of the Albright Sisters leaves me with no complaints! In my opinion, this is the best crafted, steamiest, and sexiest of all.

It would take Beatrice to make the most interesting heroine. While she is a spoiled brat to rival any you can ever think of, only someone with her personality would have the guts to take on the Season's true horror, G Ramona's Blog Post: While she is a spoiled brat to rival any you can ever think of, only someone with her personality would have the guts to take on the Season's true horror, Gareth. Only she would have the strength and snark to handle Gareth's predilection for sexual dominance. Now how could this be if I intensely disliked Penelope's character in book 2? And would have cheerfully kicked Nathan in book 2.

I thought Penelope had more of a martyr personality than a bratty one. Cutting off her nose to spite her face and then wallowing in self-pity because of what she did. Thankfully, they both changed for the better. But Beatrice was bitchy from the start. Bitchy she may have been but that also made her strong-willed.

She did exactly what she wanted and to hell with everyone else. What a perfect match for Gareth! Gareth could wilt any female with a look. In addition, he brings out the darkest suspicions in any male. In that sense, Beatrice was perfectly right in her assumption that only the two of them could end up with each other.

Neither of them could have imagined how well suited they were. Throw into the dark, steamy mix a mystery regarding the death of Gareth's first wife and you have an erotic novel with a twist that was difficult to predict. I enjoyed her presentation. This book is a follow up to book one which was Everything Forbidden which was a sweet, hot erotic romance and Something Reckless which was sultry and romantic. Taboo yummy and quick witted is a book in the series that involves the world of the Albright sisters.

This writer has a magical way of putting together racy, hot sexy scenes yet continue to keep the romanticism of the scene. I enjoyed this series and the adventurous tales of these four sisters. I'm hoping that Winifred will have a book out of her own. The sex scenes in this book contain some light S and M with sensual dialogue and tingly description.

These books are quick reads with and pack a great deal of entertainment into their pages. I look forward to many more books by this author. Jul 25, Lindsey rated it it was amazing Shelves: Why was this book awesome?

My only critisism, though it isn't just with this book but many in the same genre, is the use of anal sex as the new initiation or "virginity" in the books.
