Jason has been away for a few years working in Vegas and following his stepfathers death wants to be with his family and return to his home town.

half-truth - Wiktionary

Jason is also in a relationship or was until his girlfriend doesn't want to leave Vegas where she is a showgirl, not much call for that in a little town I suppose. Anyway Jason moves back home fresh from a break up. Both Tatum and Jason are in the same circles, Tatum is the best friend of Jason's cousin Kelsey and already a part of the family. With a past reputation of being a playboy Tatum and Jason have been given orders by Kelsey to say away from each other.

Tatum is also getting over a break up. I loved this slow burn romance, it was hot, funny, I loved the embarrassing moments and I also loved every one of the characters from Jason's mother to Kelsey, it had a great family feel to it, with lots of laugh out loud moments. This is my first Leddy Harper book and definitely won't be my last, I loved the flow of the plot. The half truth contained everything I love in a romance read.

I am looking forward to reading more from Leddy Harper, I have some catching up to do and I am so spoilt for choice but hoping to dive into another of her books asap. Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea. Fun Story This was a sweet, funny and entertaining book. Both of the main characters have had their hearts broken by someone they thought loved them. Then a little lie turns things around for them but it may also cause an issue but there are some hot steamy moments you can't miss and the fun banter as well.

A really enjoyable book. I enjoyed this - oh Tatum what a web she weaved! One little white lie and it gathered speed and grew legs! Loved Jason - he took a while to realise what he had and what he wanted but got there in the end. There was humour, some angst and family drama. I'm not sure how exactly I've never heard of this new to me author! Her writing style, humor, and witty banter are right up my alley.

Beware of a Half-Truth; It May Be the Wrong Half

The characters in this book really make the story work. Tatum is hilarious without meaning to be. Jason is fantastic and has no idea what's hit him when the whirlwind that is Tatum enters his life. Jason's trying to prove to his family that he's put his "player" ways behind him but having Tatum around is making that difficult. Don't miss this laugh out loud funny I'm not sure how exactly I've never heard of this new to me author! Don't miss this laugh out loud funny read.

I definitely recommend it. I came to like the direction the story was heading, I loved the interaction between the characters and I wanted to follow their path seeing how everything plays out. So, if you are in need of an easy, enjoyable and entertaining read, this book is definitely for you!

Nothing happened as I expected. Jason was my favorite character, and his family too. They were all too funny. Tatum was a good character, but a lot of her lies could have been avoided, and some parts just irritated me. But the ending was cute.

If you like the no-strings-attached relationship type, you might like this book. I am trying to come up with a few things to write in this review and the only thing that pops in my mind is the word lies over and over again. I was very fed up with all the lies Tatum kept telling to everyone. Up until the end of the book, half of the words coming out of Tatum's mouth are about the lies she kept telling everyone and I couldn't stand it.

Jason doesn't find the truth until one of the last chapters and Tatum had everyone believing that he was a horrible person because it was I am trying to come up with a few things to write in this review and the only thing that pops in my mind is the word lies over and over again. Jason doesn't find the truth until one of the last chapters and Tatum had everyone believing that he was a horrible person because it was fitting her lies.

I kept wishing that she would explain some of the truth to Jason sooner and they would keep up with the lies together, but that didn't happen, unfortunately. One thing I would also have liked to not have read as Jason's previous conquests and specifically about him taking the virginity of two of Kelsey's friends.

Who needed to know that. Kesley painted him as the bad guy without that info. There wasn't a single character that was likable maybe with the exception of Michael's new girlfriend who sort of redeemed herself towards the end of the book. I loved the sexual chemistry between Tatum and Jason. I enjoyed the fun banter and goofiness of the situations that they both found themselves in so in the end I really did enjoy the overall story even with some of the flaws I have stated.

This specific video review will be included in the February wrap-up. Hero is a scummy man whore who took the virginity of two of her friends. No way, no how could I be with that.

Jan 27, Nova Brantley rated it it was ok. Thanks Netgalley. So I guess I wanted to connect with this one too. I ended up skipping thru some parts. Feb 23, Avidez Literaria rated it really liked it. One lie led to the next until I was buried under them all. The fact that he is your boss?

Or that your chance of win him back fall to the ground when his new girlfriend becomes your new co-worker? For Tatum, all alternatives are her worst nightmare and unfortunately still recent wounds.

Half Truth and Lies (feat. Young Jagz)

Tired of the pitying looks of her colleagues and witnessing her ex with another woman, she tells a little lie. After all, what harm is there in making up a boyfriend?

*Pre-Order* Half Truth by Richard Garfield and Ken Jennings

But when the suitor is her best friend's cousin and the initial lie turns to a huge one, Tatum has certainly just gotten into the biggest mess. Jason is back in town. After a recent breakup, he just wants to stay close to his family, get a job and settle down. Upon meeting his cousin's friend, the attraction between the two is immediate. Just like the certainty that she is a walking hazard, accident-prone and totally unpredictable.

Too bad her cousin is determined to keep him away from her friend. But he never liked receiving orders anyway. And a casual encounter with a Tatum handing out hugs ends up being the beginning of the mess. Tatum is buried in lies. Jason has no idea what's going on. The two are a couple.

Without ever having a date. As the lies increase and spread, Jason and Tatum get close, and by initiating something real, the chances of future problems increase considerably. The book is funny, with unbelievable one-liner and situations. Tatum and her propensity to chaos made me feel sorry for Jason. This girl is a danger. As the story progresses, the reader becomes apprehensive of the moment when this confusion will be discovered.

The other characters are relevant to the plot and well written. Tatum creates a network of lies that ends up putting Jason in the role of the villain and apologizing to a man who does not give second chances will be her biggest challenge. The Half Truth is a light and fun romantic comedy. But that ends up teaching a valuable lesson about the value of truth in a relationship and the weight of lies. A good reading.
