Even the triple class can be useful, just not really for power gaming. Once the experience plateaus you end up needing absurd amounts of experience for each level over a million per level for Mage! So it's not the "best" sort of character design, but I still find it fun to run. However, the sheer amount of spells you'll be able to cast will be rather impressive. I'm not too sure that additional fighter bonus is worth it over the loss of dragon breaths and additional cleric levels though.
I haven't played this class but it sounds fun. I'm going to try one for my next playthrough. You have the offensive buffs of the cleric and the defensive buffs of a mage and the APR and HLAs of a fighter so you should be a beast in melee, even if the lack of high level spells makes you a poor spellcaster.
