Michelle has created an interesting continuation of her Immortality Bites series with Fanged and Fabulous. The story deals with some of the ramifications of the first novel as Sarah is labeled the Slayer of Slayers and this opens up a mess of problems for her with the hunters and vampires. Despite all of the problems the hunters were creating for her, Sarah seemed more wrapped up in her romantic issues with Thierry than the perils that were occurring around her which makes for some interesting predicaments. Sarah's obsession with Thierry could have distracted from the plot but Michelle has a unique way of making the romance more important to the reader than the events in the book until she is ready to have us switch focus back and then she delivers on the plot.

The book was very enjoyable and the romantic layer made it fabulously cute on many levels. She expertly planted a few plot points that I have no doubt we will be seeing in later installments. I look forward to the next book and I would recommend this book if you need a good light romantic paranormal fix.

Just as good if not better than the first I love Sarah and her upbeat personality Theirry just really comes off as a bad guy and Quinn looks like prince charming and the whole time I'm thinking who too pick The first in the series is Bitten Smitten and each additional book just get better and better. Sarah Dearly has a cool attitude about being a vampire and of course there is a dark handsome moody vampire for her to fall in love with. The author keeps true to the fresh style and out of the box pun intended situations in this fantasy vampire series.

I recommend it to other people who like the comedy and twists of vampire fiction.

Fanged and Fabulous

When are they going to come out with this in a pack? It's confusing when they are not numbered in the series. Also it seems like a rip when it is a catchy book but so short for the money! These books just keep getting better. Sarah Dearly is such a relatable and enjoyable heroine that I could keep reading these over and over but hope that Michelle will just keep writing more and more of them instead! This series is great. Light and fun and the sarcasm is great. Could've used better love scenes?

Happy halloween

The characters are all so likable i wish I could be friends with them all. This series gives a nice spin on the vampire legend. These vamps can go out in daylight, but sorry girls no sparkling vampires here. I cant wait to read the next one!

Mar 05, Jan rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Paranormal Teen Fantasy - Vampire Lovers. First off I want to say that this book is mislabeled as "paranormal romance". Other than a few half-pages of a little kissy-face there was no romance or sex at all. Overlooking that little annoyance I rather enjoyed reading it. The book was well written, sharp, witty, and had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

A very good humorous vampire book. I am curious as to what happens to Michael Quinn, ex-vampire hunter turned guilt ridden vampire. After that however, the author is not going on my must-buy list.

Dec 18, Rosa rated it really liked it Shelves: Fanged and Fabulous has the action, the drama and the humor! After reading the first book of the series, which i enjoyed immensely, i promptly set out to find the second, and i wasn't disappointed! Michelle Rowen knows just how to engage the audience! Michelle Rowen is my new favorite author. In this second entry in the Immortality Bites series, Sarah discovers that thanks to the incident at the club at the end of the first book, she now is known as the Slayer of Slayers, with an undeserved reputation that causes her to be feared by some of her would be enemies. Throughout the book she frets about the hunters and Thierry who has not had sex with her since their vacation in Mexico two weeks ago, and her best friend being married to Barry who she can't stand, and Quinn coming back And I wasn't sure how things would be left off with Thierry at the end of the book.

And I'm quite eager to get to the third book. Sep 12, JoAnne Kenrick rated it it was amazing Shelves: I can't remember the last time a book kept me up way past my bed time. I couldn't bare to put it down until the last page had been turned -- I just had to know what happened to Quinn. I just had to know about Theirry and Sarah and basically, I just had to keep reading until the very last word.

Next book, Lady and the Vamp I think , will be in my next bulk ebook buy! Maybe even the fourth and fifth in the Immortality Bites too. May 14, Ani rated it it was amazing Shelves: I really can't say why I liked this one more than the first, not that the first was bad far from it, loved it!

It's funnier than the first I didn't think that could be possible , infinitely sweeter and, still, incredibly surprising! Just when you think you who know the culprit is or have your suspicions firmly in place, wham! Jul 15, Elizabeth D. I enjoyed this second installment in the Immortality Bites series.

Sarah is adjusting to life as a new vampire but Thierry is becoming distant and there are vampire hunters looking for her because she has gained a reputation as the "Slayer of Slayers" which can't end well. The laughs are there and Sarah's all heart which makes her a very likable character. The only downside was the side plot of her friend Amy and her concerns that her new husband Barry is cheating on her.

It was just too much un I enjoyed this second installment in the Immortality Bites series. It was just too much unnecessary drama in an otherwise fun story. Overall a great light romp. Jan 26, Barbi rated it it was ok. This was an interesting book, to say the least. It reminded me of Mary Janice Davidson's "Undead" series. Sarah is a recently turned vampire who is dating a much older, married vampire named Thierry.

He pretty much does whatever he can to push her away and she keeps coming back. To make matters even more challenging, vampire hunters are out to kill her since she is "famous". So, throw in some bodyguards, interesting friends, and her not willing to give up on her relationship, and this book was comical at times and made me want to smack my head against a wall at others.

Sarah is somewhat of an airhead - but still cute enough to keep my attention. It's a nice break from the more action-packed series I've read lately. If you're looking for a something cutesy and shallow you may enjoy this series. If you're looking for something with depth I suggest you keep looking. Aug 18, Ifrah rated it liked it Recommends it for: Jul 23, Sydney rated it it was ok.

This book was poorly planned out. Instead of developing characters naturally the author used them like puppets. Characters would randomly show up or exit mid scene just to prevent certain conversations from happening, which made the plot jerky and annoying. Aug 17, Mona rated it really liked it. I wanted to read this book for soo looongg and i finally did. It wasnt as great as the first book but i enjoyed it nevertheless. Michelle is a very sarcastic and witty writer , the reason why i enjoy her books so much.

It wasn't cringe worthy or predictable. Honestly a must must MUST read. Apr 06, Lesedelfin rated it did not like it. Nov 18, Colleen rated it really liked it. This is a great series for a quick, fun, summer read The story is light, the characters are engaging, and the dialogue is witty.

I'm sure that the This is a great series for a quick, fun, summer read The Immortality Bites books frequently makes me laugh out loud at dialogue and situations presented. Rowen has a marvelous way of allowing the reader to discover her characters' personalities simply from the words that they speak. Rowen makes frequent reference to pop culture -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer , in particular -- and her scenes where bodyguard Janie mentions Sarah going all "Rawrr" complete with vampire claw motions hearken back to BtVS characters doing the same.

So I guess, my absorbing Diva voices is not that odd after all. It's just too bad that there's only 5 books in the series, and that I'll be finished within a week. Another amazing instalment in the series. It is certainly entertaining and has accompanied the previous book as my christmas reads of I must comment on Sarah being the 'Slayer of Slayers' - it is a perfect title for her. I wish I have her reputation and attitude: I put a smile on my face. Dec 21, Tessie rated it liked it Shelves: In this book, Sarah Dearly is back with a new reputation as the Slayer of slayers, aka the murderer of the vampire slayers.

Janie Parker is one of the bodyguards who I really liked, even though she seemed a bit crazy at the end. Lenny is the other bodyguard who has a huge crush on Janie. It had some funny parts, but to be honest I barely even remember anything from this book.

It's been a few years since I read the first book in this series and the way the characters were acting at first, I started to wonder if I was reading a Queen Betsy book, but with different names.
