I had a rough time getting into it at first but I did the problem I saw is that this first book really doesn't have a lot to do with the rest of the story except setting up the back story.
It made me sad that the one person he is meant to be with is the one person he knows he can't touch or screw up the whole world. How do you find a soul mate and know you can't touch them and are required to give them to another. Good book not sure if I will continue with the series or not.
