Having them understand what it is like to be on the receiving end of care is important. The focus on technology and computers has the potential to detract from actual care. Connecting with people who need care is an important part of healing. I hope they benefitted from the readings from Loving Hannah and our discussion. The response was positive and one person thanked me for sharing my story. You are an amazing writer. I was so impressed with the story and your ability to tell it. To be told you work is good feels great. To have people be surprised by that is a compliment of the different sort. I wonder if other writers have experienced this same thing in their home towns. It certainly motivates me to continue my writing.

The Hannah Duffy Foundation will be in attendance as well - stop on by to say hi and learn more about our foundation and our brain cancer research and scholarship programs. Hope to see you there! One of the best memories Hannah was so so happy to meet Theresa, it was so unexpected and a wonderful surprise for Hannah to get to meet her.

The last item on her list came just over a week later and that was when Father Gene came to our home to bless Hannah I miss her more than words can ever express, it does not get easier as time goes on, I will never ever get over her loss but our family will continue to go on and live our lives with joy just as she asked us to do. Miss you forever, angel girl A year ago today, Hannah had some awesome visitors!

Theresa wanted to meet Hannah after hearing of her wish She was SO happy!! This was just a week and a half before Hannah became an angel. I'll be receiving that wish very soon and can't wait to "talk" to my girl again This is where your donations to the Hannah Duffy Foundation are sent, to support cutting edge pediatric brain cancer research. Let us never ever forget the true sacrifice of so many. And, always be kind to each other because love always wins.

We need to find treatments that are specific to pediatric brain tumors, as they are different than adult brain tumors. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. My hope this month is that more people become aware of the fact that childhood cancer is severely underfunded, r That is why we will never stop fighting for less toxic treatments and ultimately a cure so that someday no more families have to lose their child to this beast.

So, for Hannah and all the children taken too soon as well as those still in the fight, read and share the posts about childhood cancer, make a donation to the Hannah Duffy Foundation or another childhood cancer foundation, attend local fundraisers, and Go Gold for our children. Five years ago today After nine days in the hospital, we will be coming HOME tomorrow actually today as I write this since its almost 1am.

Over this past week, I've cried so many tears A week ago today we received the worst news of our lives Hannah's tumor has progressed beyond the point of curative treatment, and as her mother I am just too devastated to write the words in print. We have cried and held each other and cried some more over this past week but we've also shared some of the most intimate and beautiful and heartbreaking moments between mother and daughter. Hannah knows she is loved beyond measure and she also knows that I will be with her always.

My beautiful girl is so strong and such a gift We've all received gifts of love and healing this week that we will carry with us forever.
