What kind of musical scales are there?

Where do we find these songs recorded? Who has heard these songs? The answer is people like Ezekiel, Daniel, and John the cousin of Jesus. You can find these songs as indentations in some Bible translations.
In Revelation, scholars say phrases in quotations are called songs because of the nature of the address to God. Most of the passages that refer to speaking can be singing, especially when alluding to angelic beings. However the word for speaking is consistent with singing, so we can regard it as such. Some historians regard these poetic verses as hymns, or portions of songs. And they were actually sung by the early Christians and part of their worship ministry to God. These songs when lifted up to God in melody transcend time and space. These songs are the unifying element in our story of a church militant on earth that moves through struggle and martyrdom to become the church triumphant in heaven. We sing in the struggle and we sing in victorious celebration on the other side.

Who was singing in these celestial songs? Jerry Lee Lewis is preparing for his final tour to the UK next month, to coincide with his 80th birthday. Lewis looks up, sharply. His father, Elmo Lewis, was a farmer, carpenter and convicted bootlegger; his mother Mamie adored music and sang with Elmo. When Jerry was three, his seven-year-old brother, Elmo Jr, was hit by a car and killed. Elmo Jr had shown great promise as a musician. The story goes that he took one look at it and began playing. Before long, father and son realised their fortune lay in that piano which still resides at the Lewis ranch.
Elmo would hoist it on to the back of a wagon and they would travel from town to town, looking for any space to play in. At night, Jerry Lee would sneak into the local blues club, the only white kid in the building, where he would hide under tables and listen to the music. The young Lewis was tough, passionate, God-fearing and precocious.
Lewis almost became a preacher himself, enrolling at the Southwestern Bible Institute in Texas. When he turned from hymns to boogie-woogie, he was expelled. Lewis smiles when I mention this. Lewis nods. I mean you worry, when you breathe your last breath, where are you going to go? Before succeeding in music, Lewis worked as a sewing machine salesman. He made a fair bit of money before being found out. Lewis sold , copies of his first single, Crazy Arms , in , the year that Elvis had his first hit with Heartbreak Hotel.
Both songs represented the freedoms and desires of newly-named teenagers. Norman aimed to provide Londoners with the kind of experience the avant garde and creative elite were already enjoying at Studio 54 in New York. That institution is now to be celebrated in a reunion night, Return to Rage, at the club on Sunday 8 December. A documentary — made by On The Bus Productions — about the club is also due out next year, followed by another anniversary club night, Return to Heaven , being staged in early spring next year. We all felt comfortable in that environment. Until then, it would have been difficult for people to tell people you had been to a gay club.
