And that foreboding was warranted; this series did not take the direction I wanted it to take at all and I was disappointed. Character development, characters' relationships, certain controversial scenes, and overall plot design- all of these could have used a little more TLC and ingenuity. But like I said I couldn't put it do Wow. But like I said I couldn't put it down because despite all the bad, this was still an entertaining read. I completely enjoyed these books and Eve Rabi has outdone herself once again. Without providing detailed spoiler alerts, lets say these books were about forgiveness, friendship, passion, betrayal, brutality, fear, deception, sacrifice, hatred, respect, jealousy, redemption, humor, bravery and blinding love just to name a few.
Eve Rabi was abl I am so glad that I purchased the complete series of this book because having to wait for the next book to be published would have been pure torture. Eve Rabi was able to spin a tale so packed with all of the aforementioned and with characters so real and a storyline so spellbinding that I found myself up until the wee hours reading until the books were finished.
I travel to Mexico every year to vacation and will now be looking over my shoulder for my own Diablo or Troy or Depp. Hum, I wonder which would be the one I would want to be held captive by.

Payton is just hilarious, she had me laughing so many times with her smart mouth and attitude! My absolute favorite scene was when she was drunk and pissed at Diago …… lol it had me cracking up! Payton and Diago……they're actually perfect for each other! Yeah at first I hated him but from the get go I could tell there was more to him then what Payton knew!
This book when I was about half way I really and truly didn't see it ending well! But the ending surprised me and had me laughing at everyone's reaction to Payton's news!!
