It's main characters are a new set of clan kits, Jaykit, Hollykit, and Lionkit.

Each has their own very distinct personality. In fact, their personalities have been much more creative and specific than the cats in the previous series. They have more realistic flaws and traits than the earlier cats no offense meant; just saying: Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight, Stormfur, etc didn't have many serious flaws. Jaykit is a serious grump, touchy and oversensitive a Looks like it's gonna be a good series!

Jaykit is a serious grump, touchy and oversensitive about certain matters. Hollykit is well-meaning but a bit flaky and very impulsive. Lionkit is headstrong, easily angered, and ambitious. To be honest, I can't help but thinking one of them could go evil. The book starts off with the story pacing a little awkward, but it's a good start and the 2nd book after this one completely hits it's stride, being one of the most solid Warriors' books I've read.

It definitely looks like it's going to be an interesting series, and is not simply a rehash of old storylines. However, many of the cats we loved from the old series are present in this one, including non-Thunderclan cats as well. This Warriors fan defnitely recommends it! Nov 22, Christine rated it really liked it. But dark secrets haunt them, and a mysterious prophecy tells them trouble is coming: There will be three, kin of your kin. I like this books prophecy.

It sounds creepy in a way. This story tells me a lesson I think is very important: Jaypaw was blind since he was born. But he realized a real strong talent nobody knew how to do. I recommend this book to people who enjoy cats, who understands the spirit of adventure! Dec 03, Kasey rated it really liked it Shelves: I really liked this book. It's a great continuation of Erin Hunter's first two series. Although it's for kids about fifth or sixth grade, I think anyone would like it.

Sep 01, Sienna rated it really liked it. Jaypaw was a bit too whiny for me, but I loved Lionpaw, Hollypaw and the story all the same. A great, fun read. Aug 11, Aurora Dimitre added it Shelves: Jun 28, Atlas added it Shelves: It's been years since I've read this series! I'd totally forgotten pretty much everything that happens, though I do remember the "big twist" though not which book it is in I think Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Jaypaw are actually pretty great characters; they all have their own different, little bit unique problems.

The Sight (Hunter novel) - Wikipedia

I love Hollypaw's confusion over who she wants to be and how she sorts herself out. Lionpaw just reminds me of Lionheart: Aug 05, Camille rated it it was amazing. The Sight is the first book of Warriors: When I started this book I was a bit sceptical because how could Erin Hunter continue writing such brilliant books after Warrior Cats and Warriors: The New Prophecy but I was not disappointed!

The Sight follows three young cats called Jaypaw, Hollypaw and Lionpaw as they end their kit-hood and start their life as apprentices. There is a good balance between the cats' point of views and you really start to connect with all three cats. You al The Sight is the first book of Warriors: You also find out how all of these cats view clan life and clanmates. What makes these different POV's even better is that these three cats have very different personalities so you do see things in very different ways.

Jaypaw is a grumpy and rather rebellious cat so you see things with a dark edge and negative view to them. You also get to discover how his brain works and all his special abilities. Slight spoiler next You also get an idea of how it must be to be blind. Especially in such a harsh and sight-dependant life that is being a Warrior Cat.

And Erin Hunter has written it in such a brilliant way that you sympathise with him and also get an very mild idea of what it's like to be blind. Hollypaw is quite a bubbly but strict cat. She constantly worries about the Warrior Code and if she's doing the right thing. She's also very keen to help her clan and make them respect her. You also see how she tries very hard to make many friends and get on with people from other clans.

Of course she succeeds in this and many other things including her fighting and hunting skills. In this book you feel her emotions and connect with her as she seems like the type of person you are very likely to get along with making her a very likable character. He is a very driven and ambitious cat. You can feel his hostility towards other clans and his desire to do well in many things. At first I found him difficult to like but as time went on I found him to also be a likable character. This is because he is very nice to clanmates and other cats he likes but I wouldn't like to be on his bad side as he fights well and has a sharp tounge.

What I also love about this book is that even though it is based around these three characters you don't loose touch with previous characters such as Firestar and Squirrelflight. You also get to know the other characters in the book even though many of them are not in any way crucial to the story. There's also Erin Hunter's excellent description of the forest and the base.

What I tend to find with other authors is that once they have described a certain place in detail they fail to refresh the image of the places. But Erin Hunter does an amazing job! All the way through the books tiny details were added to my mental image of the forest and I rarely forgot what one area looked like to me. There were also the smells and sounds.

Not many authors put that much detail into the smells and sounds but Erin Hunter did! I loved these books and all the others before. I cannot wait to carry on reading this series: Apr 01, Kate Matson rated it really liked it Shelves: Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw spring from a strong legacy: All three young cats possess unusual power and talent and seem certain to provide strength to the Clan for the next generation.

But there are dark secrets around the three, and a mysterious prophecy hints at trouble to come. An undercurrent of rage i Summary: An undercurrent of rage is rising against those who are not Clanborn, and the warrior code is in danger of being washed away by a river of blood. All the young cats' strength will be needed if the Clans are to survive. I really enjoyed the plot within this one, it was pretty different from previous Warrior novels. There was many plot twists in this book, though I predicted all of them. Therefore, this book was very predictable.

However, that did not take the fun out of this book at all. He was definitely a self-pitier. He was a complainer, but honestly, he had reason to be. His life stunk or so it seamed. Everything seemed to go wrong for him. He acted wise, and humble at first. He lacked faults, but it was nice to have a smart car in the litter. This was a great book. I did find some faults in a few things.

I've definitely read better Warrior books. I would recommend starting this series in 5th grade.

Feb 12, Aoife rated it it was amazing. I know I'm not the best a writing reviews. I write them a bit like a blurb, I don't want to give to much away but I want to encourage people to read it. My previous reviews on Warrior books have been pretty similar - I love them all, what more can I say. I would definitely recommend them. In this new arc of Warriors we travel yet again to a new generation of cats - The children of Squirellflight and Bramble claw. This is a very good book with an exciting plot.

The three main character's Hollypaw I know I'm not the best a writing reviews. The three main character's Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw all want to become warriors at first despite Jaypaw being blind Although as the story progresses we find that this isn't where all their destinies lie. The book is themed on the prophecy - There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws.

I did like this book especially as it progresses. I do think Jaypaw grumbled a bit too much at the start and it was a bit depressing in my opinion, but I guess that's what makes the character's dynamic, character's must have their strengths and their weaknesses. Despite Jaypaw being grumpy at the start and him making some foolish decisions in my opinion he's a character that grows through the arc and becomes more likeable.

The characters do change a lot as they grow into the cats they are destined to become, the cat I liked the most at the start actually did some dramatic changing near the end but I'm not going to talk about that since that's not in this book. This book has one a awards, like many of the Warriors books have.

;Warriors; The Sight - Prologue

I remember seeing pretty much every kid my age reading this series back when I was in middle school. I was really excited to read it and I ended up getting it for my birthday back in like or Unfortunately, back when I was 12, I had an extremely short attention span. I always asked for books because I guess I liked the idea of reading them.

I never really started actually finishing books I got until around 8th grade.
