I liked the YA viewpoint in "Anyone" perhaps a little more. Guess I'm just a kid at heart. Still the more adult but still with YA range book gives us a lot more information on the Gossamer mythology of shapeshifters.
We're taken on an often dangerous ride to England and into the North Sea, with stops along the way to fight evil shapeshifters, and for the young companions of the ancient, yet strikingly beautiful, Caitlin, the protector of the Gossamer Crown.
At least she'd protect it if she can find the dang thing! With the help of her three unsuspecting acolytes, we suspect she'll find the crown and defeat the evil sphere. I don't think that's a spoiler. I'd recommend to urban fantasy readers especially. The start to anther strong series by Conway.

It certainly isn't flawless, but it's very enjoyable. It drew me in and wouldn't let go -- to the point that I read books one and two, plus the side-story book 2. Now I am eagerly awaiting book three. The characters are well developed and the plot moves along nicely. The writing is clear and flows well for a quick read. There were some very minor editing issues, but overall a clean indie book.

The characters are interesting and believable, and the plot moves along well. The premise of the book is intriguing, and this looks to be the first book in a promising new series. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. However, I was indeed pleasantly surprised. I have never been a fan of many of the tons of books out there with shapeshifters and werewolves, but this was an original idea that sounded interesting from the get-go.
It is refreshing to read a book that is well written, has well developed characters, and has an original idea. I will definitely be purchasing the next addition to this series!

All my questions got answered, and in the imaginative style of the whole series -- even though I've read a lot of sci-fi, there was a lot that I just did not see coming and that fit the story perfectly. The sheer invention here is part of the fun, so I don't want to say anything too specific that might give too much of a hint about some of the surprises! One person found this helpful.
