The memory foam carpet is amazing. They and we used the Voicetra app to communicate, and it was always clear they woud do anything they could to help us feel welcome and comfortable. The rental e-bikes were also very practical and fun. Super amazing since the bike shops on the island were out of bikes! Incredibly accommodating staff, provided us with wet weather gear and picked us up from the ferry. They also noticed it was my birthday, and gave us a small gift.
Not applicable. Sparky's Place was much nicer than it appears online. Our cabin was very comfortable, and included excellent facilities such as an induction cooktop and cooking implements, so we could be self-sufficient if we wished. The neighbourhood was peaceful, but only a few minutes' walk from a bus stop, a Seven Eleven and the port. The staff were very helpful - for example, staying back a few minutes to check that we could operate the microwave. A very nice touch was to give us macha tea and sweets when we arrived.
Good location. Great price for electric bikes - cheaper than anywhere else at the port. Free coffee and drinks and facilities for cooking. Friendly staff.

There was poor hot water Great location. Overpriced, felt a bit like sleeping in a box but the beds were comfortable and the placement is good. But yes it felt like glamping not as a nice hotel. A great funky room and location on Naoshima. It was a bit like staying in a container but having said that it was very comfortable and offered all we needed in a little cabin. Great breakfast at Sparkys Coffee House and we really liked the electric bikes.
Breakfast is good too! Our room had two twin beds instead of a full or queen sized bed, but I am pretty sure that that was all that was available when we booked it so not their fault. They brought a beautiful breakfast made to our room, and we could eat it outside on our cute little deck. Good room and breakfast Nice people. The free breakfast at the coffee house and free bikes were a big bonus.
We really enjoyed our 3 nights at Sparky's and would highly recommend it to others visiting Naoshima. A great location for the Setouchi Festival.
