First thing my family and I did was go to the food zone. It was 8AM so we were pretty hungry. They had a special on the menu I know at Eureka in Claremont, I love this burger so much. Knowing that it was the chef specialty that day made me feel that it was going to be worth it. Everybody around the table began to order their meals. And then it was time for me to order it.

When I asked about the specialty, the waitress had stated that usually do it only for lunch for those two specials. So I inquired about the burger and she gave me a smile and said I will ask and I'm sure it will be more than OK. Long story, short I was able to get my burger. There is only one waitress working but it seem like she did the best that she could. What I am trying to say is, do not expect total attention more prompt service. It is basically a chill place without all the hustle and bustle. I do not like it because well maybe it was because of my hunger and about 20 minutes later we finally got our meals.

All Locations

This was the moment of truth! So far everybody enjoyed their meal and it was time for me to dig right in. I took my first bite and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to know that this burger was cooked just the way I liked it and everything just felt like it melted together and melted together with all of its flavors. I was not disappointed. The only thing missing was the fact that I forgot to order my orange juice.

Welcome to Village Green

But alas that is not a loss. We head over to the store to buy the golf balls. It was a small store but that's not why I am giving this a three star rating. The person behind the counter consistently drum with his fingers. I was not sure what was going on but I know that it was quite loud and I felt that his professionalism could have been way better. But no matter we paid for a golf balls and headed over to the driving range. It was a small ranch and nothing quite spectacular about it. I wish there was more shade in this area. But overall my family and I enjoyed the driving range for the 2 to 3 hours that we were out there.

And I felt like I needed to get out of the sun as much as I could as I was hitting these golf balls. But, like I said my family and I enjoyed the meal and enjoy the time at the driving range but I wouldn't say that this is your fancy or spectacular or unique place to go to. To be honest I believe we came here out of convenience of location. Nothing bad about it but nothing quite extravagant amount of either. Disappointed- This was the first golf course I played over 10 years ago and continued to play for years.

Although it has been a while, it's nothing to what I remember. The condition of the greens and fairways are in horrible condition, abused and neglected. While playing i called the pro shop to ask if they had a collared shirt policy and was told "of course we do". People that don't respect the game obviously don't respect golf course. I don't think he is too concerned about repairing divots. The good news for Green River Golf Course fans out there is that there are currently zero temporary greens. The bad news is the condition of the course does not meet the price tag. I took my dad golfing Sunday morning for his birthday.

Don't expect short er grass around the greens. That thick grass is like putting out of the rough even though you are a few inches off the green. Fairways are covered in dirt patches. And don't even get me started about losing balls because there are too many dang leaves on this course. Tee boxes could also use some TLC. Staff is friendly and nice enough. Our carts didn't die and we avoided driving them into trees and tumbling down hills. But I really don't think that I'd pay to play here again. At least not during winter.

FYI, for a girl who LOVES taking pictures, especially pictures with her dad while golfing, it pains me to admit that I failed to notice a decent looking hole to snap a picture. Not bad for the price. Some areas need some major work. The golf cart paths are almost non existent. The afternoon seems to get pretty windy.

But again for the price it's not too bad. Green River Golf Course has the potential to be a beautiful place to play golf. The 1st hole tee is off of a cliff which is cool. The greens are bumpy so your ball is bouncing all over the place and patchy green grass, brown grass. The cart path is concrete in some locations and dirt in others.

Regardless, they are uneven and bumpy. The bottom of our golf bags literally bounced onto the edge of the cart. If you have back issues, take it easy. There are also lots of tree roots above ground. Local construction is also going on in the area. Maybe that's why they are neglecting the course but either way On another note, the driving range is good because most of the time its off of grass vs mats.

Putting area is nice. And the staff has been nice each time I have come there We played around of golf here over the past long weekend during the super twilight rate. Traffic getting here was a pain in the butt especially from the OC. The check-in process was super smooth as as it was a pretty slow day.

Alerts In Effect

Our carts were assigned and we got to the first tee. The clubhouse itself does look abit dated like a flash back to old 90s. But it could be a nice venue for a wedding like we saw being setup during our round. The course overall isn't super long nor difficult at on the front and on the back off the blue tees. The course was well maintained with good lush fairways and pretty good greens. A couple of greens did have bare dry patches but that's more likely from being sunburned. The challenging part of the course overall was battling with the high wind gusts from the canyons. So yeah you better have your low stingers ready for this course.

Overall its an OK course if you're in the Riverside area with a pretty good value. Just be prepare to battle traffic trying to get here during rush hour and hearing the loud train horns on the back 9. If you've ever played a dessert course you'll be right at home here.

Multiple car accident on Green River Road

Well, the course is in extremely poor condition I took some pictures for you The tee boxes are garbage, the greens are covered in holes. The fairways are dirt and short grass mix. Don't ever come here. Won't be back I'm completely finished with GreenRiver. After putting up with horrible fairways, then having the greens killed off by a fungus, and now the railroad has construction going on, they have the nerve to raise their rates.

There are many courses in the general area that are in better condition and cost less to play!!! I hate being the guy to leave a bad review but this place is a joke. Whoever runs this place should be ashamed and fired! I came here several times about 10 years ago and it was a nice clean course. Now it has an abandoned feel to it. There were several greens that were relocated to the fairway!

Yes, we were putting on thick grass. Save yourself some head shaking and go to a course that takes pride in delivering a product that is worth your time. The staff in the clubhouse are very nice. All of the greens an the tee boxes are beautiful. My favorite hole is The junior classes are nice. I love it Green River is one of my favorite courses since it is close to work and affordable.

The Green River Road (Mills Gap Road) - Cowpens National Battlefield (U.S. National Park Service)

I've probably played here over 20 times. Played here yesterday with a foursome and conditions were acceptable. Greens were firm and some were recently repaired with sod patches, but even. Not as fast as recent times, but made for better putting. Fairways were also average with some bare spots. Although I was fortunate to miss the bunkers, I was told they were hard packed, like hitting into concrete.

As usual, the afternoon Corona winds were whipping and made for tricky shots. It's definitely a long course so good for big hitters.

Exploring the Asphalt Ribbons of the Pacific Northwest

One note, our golf cart ran out of battery around the 12th hole and had to be replaced. We also saw another group stranded as their cart was also dead. Seems that the batteries need to be checked due to numerous over charging. The clubhouse bar was okay but we were chased out at 5: All in all, a decent course for the price and for weekday golf. That's all I have to really say in words of terms.

I played for the first time yesterday, even with some poor reviews. Sometimes people just love to give poor reviews, but it wasn't the case. The course is just horrible, the greens are ridiculously bad taken care of. Some actually have sand on them. Two holes we're spray painted for green with normal fairway grass. I'm sorry for my frustration, but come on Shame on you Green River Golf Club.

I'll never go back. I've should of ask for my money back. Apparently they have had some challenges with a couple greens and they have two temporary greens. Course starts out with greens that are a little rough on the front side, but gets a lot better on the back nine. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because it's January, the course is in winter condition, and they had two temporary greens. I spoke with golf shop staff and they let me know what to expect on the course. Have played Green River more than a dozen times. Typically as a warm up for next day higher end course.

I've had some fun there. Hadn't been out in several months when I head out last weekend to play before heading to Oak Quarry next day. Never, ever has it been in such a terrible state! The place was never top shelf, but last weekend was the worst conditions I have ever seen or played anywhere. I can't image ever going back. It's a nice layout.

A once proud 36 hole golf facility reduced to trash and that's being nice. The fairways aren't much better. The course is not very well maintained these days and poorly signed. The Orange County side is much better maintained than the Riverside side. With a wide variety of apartment layouts to choose from, there's a perfect home for you at Village Green.
