When Thor returns from hibernation in the void, [19] he begins to find the lost Asgardians, [20] but does not search for his father. When the Asgardians gather to witness King Loki a more evil version of Loki from an alternate future on the back of the Midgard Serpent where they believe that this will be their end, Odin and Frigga appear with machine guns to defend the Asgardians.
