At first that bothered me a little bit, because it was almost like reading the same book again. But once I got past that, I felt the book was good enough on its own to continue. I enjoy the whole "instant lust which turns into instant love" thing, combined with the big strong alpha who turns into mush and can't go a minute without his mate.

In the end it's worth getting into the series I just finished book 4. One person found this helpful. Another typical shifter story, but so good! Gideon is a powerful and sexy alpha shifter who meets and falls in love with his human mate Josh. Of course from the very moment they meet they have an instant love and romance. The author also gives us glimpses of other shifters in the story that I am sure will be the roles of future books. Quick read but really good. Unfortunately I won't be reading the rest of the series because I refuse to pay over a dollar for a book with less than pages.

This book is just too good to pass up. It's fast paced and full of hot sex scenes. I read another one in this series and then decided to read them in order. The author mixes characters from other books in the series to give you a great feeling of what's going on. US you get to catch up with your favorite characters and see how they are fairing. Definitely one that will be in the re-read pile.

A lot happens in this intro to set up the follow up stories. But we still have a sexy mating take place to keep you entertained. Pretty good story , and I don't usually like paranormal stories. Going to try number two now.. I was recommend this author by another author and I must say I was impressed. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I loved this book!!! I was so very happy with it!! I can not wait for the next one!!! I bought the first book of this series with reservations.

I hadn't read anything by Ms. Black and was so absolutely pleased with this series that I immediately bought the next 4 books. This is a well written story with a very well constructed world. See all 18 reviews.
