Besides, not only am I a TA but I am also a student and this semester I will be taking an American literature class as well as Spanish so I will also attend the Spanish tutorials and language tables! I'm from Colima, Mexico; a small city in the Mexican pacific. I graduated from college in with a BA in Foreign Language Teaching and last year I worked as an English teacher in my hometown university. I also help with the weekly activities in the I-House, which will be fun! Plus, I take classes as every other Albion student does. This semester I will be taking international studies, American history and guitar classes. I also go to the Dow for a swim. I like music a lot; I even play drums a bit. I enjoy when people talk about the music they like.

I study German and English to be a teacher, but lately I've been going into medieval studies a lot. I suppose it's a hobby. Besides old languages and that's what medieval studies at my university are all about: In Germany, I dance ballroom dances , and in the summer I go rollerblading a lot. That's one of the things I will miss most in Albion. This upcoming year, I will be Albion's German teaching assistant; I will teach tutorials for all three levels of German, and host the cultural activities each week every Tuesday at 8 p. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you who study German in the tutorials, and anyone who is interested in German culture at the activities.

Native Speaker Teaching Assistants NSTAs are university students in their early twenties from French, Spanish, or German-speaking countries that spend one academic year at Albion College as a special non-degree student. Native Speakers live along with language students in the I-Space in Fiske House to encourage and give residents more opportunities to use their target language.
Due to their role in the separtment and in the I-Space, native speakers hold a special position of respect at Albion College. While attending classes, they lead weekly language tutorials to help students work on their conversational skills and grammar. They conduct weekly evening cultural activities in each particular language house in I-Space. They observe and assist professors in the classroom.
