As a vocalist of some 30 years, I found the chapters on diaphragmatic breathing especially helpful as I was preparing for upcoming vocal sessions.

Also, the sections on meditation, in particular, the Radiating Light meditation were both stimulating and grounding. For artists of all mediums, this is a book to be absorbed, but there is especially enlightening information for the non-artist population of the world as well. Cheers to Ms. Odin for this gift of steps directed at healing our Earth and the wounded people who inhabit it.

It is a concise book yet takes one on a journey on multiple levels including expanding awareness and becoming more engaged in the inner sources of strentgh and healing, while living in a fighteningly unhealth world. It if filled with guidelines, sprinkled with curious humor and wonderful anectodes. I have been practicing the techniques laid out, which are very Napolean's Bathtub, by author Jane Odin, is a well researched "how to" take charge of one's emotional, physical and spritiual well being.

I have been practicing the techniques laid out, which are very clear, and have found a great beneifit in my general feeling of wellbeing. Napolean's Bathtub is very well written and quite engaging. Odin provides little twists and turns to a "guide" to better health. I love the poems at the beginnng of each section. The set the stage for a fun and informative practice. This is not just a "self help" book. It is filled with a wealth of information about health risks of common practices that one might not recognize.

I went to some of the sources sited and found so much interesting detail. This is a resource book, a self help book, an educational book and a guide to better living and becoming truly conscious in an age of over stimulation. I love this book. The author gives invaluable information and insight, and I certainly felt my eyes and mind being opened as I was reading.

Effectively written in short chapters, usually 3 - 6 pages long, she describes in conceptual and practical detail, various ways to increase awareness, expand consciousness, and become more proficient at creative processing. If every reader were to adopt just one of the many points addressed, this very divided and unaware world would be a better place. You can either do the practices alone or with friends, which will make the energy more intense.

Time precision is not relevant for this practice, so there is no need to look at your watch. Phase 3 Place the palm of your hand in front of the area between the eyebrows. The hand does not touch the skin, it is about 3 to 5 centimetres 1 or 2 inches away.

    For a few minutes, stay lying on the floor with the eyes closed, breathing with the throat friction, aware between the eyebrows, and the palm 1 inch in front of this area. Start looking for a vibration between the eyebrows. It can take different forms: either a clear vibration or a tingling, or even a rather blurry pressure, a weight or a density between the eyebrows.

    Do not try hard. Remain vacant, let things happen. Note that your eyes remain closed during all phases of this practice. Phase 5 As soon as the faintest feeling of vibration or tingling, pressure, pulsation, density or weight is perceived, proceed as follows: start connecting the throat friction with the feeling between the eyebrows.
