Your idea has already been tried, not mine. It's always fun to note that those ideas only persist in areas with heavy censorship. Debate is a crucible for truth. Could you clarify what it is used for exactly? Selling for dollars online, saving since the bolivar loses value each week or pay directly with it when you know the person accepts it?

Communists aren't dumb, they know they can't plan the economy, it's deliberate evil. A black market will exist, how much of it is going to be effectively allowed to exist is the question. You don't need everyone adoption to make a difference, nothing even close to the majority. People that do have an internet connection and enough education to actually know what is Bitcoin and how does it work a very small percentage of the population use it as a safer and easier way to store their earnings. While buying dollars in the black market is way more common, people is slowly but surely understanding that they could do the same thing with Bitcoin, and you don't have to have all the requirements and capabilities to go, for example, to a US bank.

Most people can't even leave the country and they have basically no infrastructure available to move their funds around. So people either rely on their distant uncle that left the country a few years ago with a panamanian bank account Or they could go to localBitcoins and buy some Bitcoin. At the end of the day, people only want to trade that money back into bolivares but only for convenience and for short periods of time. To pay for specific things. But pure btc transactions for goods and services are still rare but are slowly growing, as most people are charging in USD anyways.

What's so funny about it? No, there's no stable electrical supply for most population. Entire cities for without power for weeks. Hospitals are forced to shut down and patients die as their lifesupport machines fail. Are you sure you are from Venezuela? Entire cities without power for weeks?

It's funny how easy it is to lie over here It is like when Roger ver said babies were dying because of bitcoin, remember..? Hope you can eat tomorrow and there is no black out so you can keep on redditing! It should be like 3am over there I am only mocking you, not the por people When was the last time you ate? Can u plz tell me? Out of curiosity ; and you do remember the whole "babies are dying" You were super Ver on that!!!!

Mining is not allowed due to subsidized energy but crypto is legal: People have been arrested just for selling and buying bitcoin without doing shady things, just protecting their income from hyperfinflation converting their bolivars into bitcoin. Any other currency -and cryptocurrencies- are illegal according to venezuelan exchange laws. And these haven't been changed. So the news that I linked is fake? Is it just allowed for government bodies? How do you explain it? Yes, it is a fake news.

Not even the government institutions are doing business with crypto currencies, as far as I know. I've been helping people with their documents to emigrate to other countries, doing the papers to sell their houses, their cars, and other papers, and in every institutions I've been workers in those institutions have said that cryptocurrencies aren't accepted. Roger did right at letting the author to publish the article, because that's an even that is happening, it included the commentary of someone explaining why the dictatorship won't be able to develop a cryptocurrency and make a successful launch of the token.

This is real fake news intended to promote government propaganda, not the article you posted. Nothing that happens in my country has any logic. He has offered to open "mining University" in broadcast TV. They contradict themselves every day. Isn't Venezuela the country with subsidized electricity? In this particular case. Can you blame them? If they didn't every damn Mining Company in the world would move there. Revolutions merely install a new tyranny.

Ironically, the sanctity reflected in the skeletal physiognomy of Pope Pius XII seemed to correspond better to the round figure of his successor. John XXIII's face exuded goodness; his eyes transmitted a message of love, and his personal treatment of others, the virtue of justice. When I met "the good Pope," as he was known in Rome, I met a simple man, a warm human being who, I am sure, is now surrounded by saints. Enough for now, wait for my next publication. Note relative to her wealth this handout would have been material.

That would be cool. Or organise a social media event on how you destroyed your carnet de la patria. From what I have learned at CC, Daniel and the Devil please heal , this seems to be the crux of the biscuit. Esperar que el pueblo no acepte lo que le ofrecen es absurdo. Por eso, no veo con odio a quien hace la cola.

Ellas fracasan y luego le echan la culpa al pueblo. Look no further than the United States.

Welcome to Reddit,

The Social Security is a poor example, and your facts are a little off. A lifting of the tax income cap would fully solve Social Security funding for at least years.

They could also easily move the retirement age back a few more years. But as you hint, neither would be popular.

And it was, AFIK, meant to be permanent. However, it did not include SS for things like disability as it does now. Your larger point is correct, of course. But Venezuela is on the extreme end of this behavior. For those things I am happy to pay federal taxes. Each individual state is responsible for the balance of governance. So if you become disabled, through no fault of your own, you are fine with the rest of US citizens watching you starve to death?

You are talking crap. We are a nation, and we need to take care of each other. We will all be stronger for it.

If you can convince another nation in to taking you that better fits your beliefs, then no one stopping you. Two falsehoods with your claims about the US Social Security system. The US SS is not bankrupt. The US SS system provides help to people disabled during their working life, and pension benefits when you are old.

It only pays money, not housing, food, or medical care. And it was never designed to be your only pension. It is a safety net for our citizens that need the most help, and nothing more. It is a total dependency on the state for all your needs, even critical ones like food. I agree with you and you pose a great question. It is hard to convince people, but not impossible. My point is that at least you have to try.
