Throughout the various perspectives offered in this volume is the premise that faith is that quality of living that makes it possible to fully live. The Journal of Pastoral Theology called the first edition of Human Development and Faith "an excellent text for pastoral theology courses, because it fulfills its ambitious goal of bringing a holistic faith perspective to the usual topics of development.

The Context of Development. I saw the cover of this book and thought it would be mild and simple, quick and fun short stories. Just from reading one micro-drama I randomly chose from the book, I fell in love with the creativity and disturbing nature of the stories. Almost every single story has a plot twist and you can't figure it out until you get to the end, meaning it won't be easy to lose interest. The stories started out as banter between coworkers who would share very dark stories between themselves over voicemail.

They decided to then release their stories to the world, wishing to entertain those who enjoy dark humor more than most. Every story is grim and puts the character in eerie and dire situations, but the stories were written to make them more of a dark comedy that are pleasant to read. If you're looking for a thrill or disturbing, yet fun, read I would read these micro-dramas.

Imagine a trip back to childhood, where questions abound and everything is new. Not everything in the adult world makes sense, from the accountant who calculates constantly for no apparent reason, or the lamplighter who lights his lamp only to circle his small planet and put it out again.

"Leon, the unbelievable chameleon", a great children's book to fund!

What our hero the Little Prince also finds are friends and even a very special rose that teach him how to hold on to those childlike moments. A short novel for children and adults alike, The Little Prince is a classic not to be missed. Junot Diaz's multi-award winning book is a nimbly versed, tragi-comic epic which follows young Oscar as he journeys from the Dominican Republic to New Jersey; love to heartache and comic books to Doctor Who This is a non-fiction book that discusses the uses of our most sacred place of secrets: a google search bar.

What you do not want to tell strangers or discuss even among friends, you may ask google. Macro-level data helps us discover trends and patterns that we would never openly admit on a survey. The House of Night Series is such a fun and entertaining series for both teens and young adults. The plot is not only well written but the author creates back stories to characters that are in depth.

For teens and young adults this book really put an emphasis on what it's like coming of age even if the main character isn't exactly human. It's very relatable and thrilling. I'd definitely recommend this book. John Truby's Anatomy of Story is a brilliant book to read if you're just getting into writing for film or television. He goes deep into detail about the many different types of stories and how to keep the reader or viewer on the edge of their seat the entire time.

If you're looking for a book to teach you and give you new ideas and inspiration, there is no book I recommend more than this. After a strange incident, Hannah is convinced that someone is hunting her, and the adults just won't listen to her evidence. With reluctant help from her ex, Veronica, its up to these witches to find out who wants to cause them harm.

This book explores the concept of identity without relying on a Coming Out experience, which is refreshing for books of this nature, as this shows that there is more to a story involving LGBTQ characters than who they love. Dealing with changing relationships, trust, and a different type of "coming out", These Witches Don't Burn doesn't pull its punches when displaying young love and the aftermath of it. This is fantastic young adult fiction read that I happily recommend to friends and family in their forties. Gail writes in such a fun and witty style that I want to devour every little morsel her typewriter spits out.

Etiquette and Espionage is the first in a series get the whole thing, trust me and it is a coming of age, steam-spunk, spy, romantic comedy, mystery, about the strength of friendships and believing in yourself. There are Werewolves, vampires, schools on hot air balloons, and these are the good guys! Age appropriate, no matter the age, and I highly recommend having a decent cuppa while you read.

If you love it we can be besties! I recently got back into really reading X-men titles and this was one of the first ones I picked up considering it was one of the most recent along with X-Men Gold and X-Men Blue.

"Leon, the unbelievable chameleon", a great children's book to fund! — English

It has a great cast of classic and new X-men characters and some very striking social commentary as all great X-Men titles do. Unfortunately the single issues of the comics are no longer being made as a new X story is launching in October but that has the upside of there only being 3 volumes of X-Men Red to find and read.

Happy reading True Believers. I first read this book when I was I was so into it that I read the first three books in less than a month. It dragged me in and wouldn't let go. I could not put it down. Its an amazing read for people of any age group. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, magically mysterious read. Gretchen McCulloch's Because Internet is a love letter to our modern methods of communication. If you've ever found yourself thinking that the internet is destroying modern language, or if you've struggled to communicate with other generations because you use punctuation differently, this is the book you want to turn to.
