He wondered if she was wearing stockings and that thought had a forceful effect on the blood in his veins. He wondered too then what it was about her that had kept him looking, that had kept him here when he should have long gone. What was it that had kept drawing his eye back again and again, uncharacteristically taking his attention away from the riveting match? Right from her starchy buttoned up stripey shirt, complete with tie, down to her sensible court shoes and shiny straight hair, neatly tucked behind her ears, a side parting to the left.

It was tied back in a small pony tail but he could well imagine that if let loose, it would fall ever so neatly into a straight shoulder length bob, framing her face. And since when had he been into neat? He was famously into seductive, sensual women, women who poured their beautiful curvaceous bodies into clothes and dresses designed to fire the imagination and ignite the senses.

She was shrugging into a long black overcoat now, hiding herself and bizarrely he felt all at once irritated, inflamed and perplexed. What the hell was he doing practically slavering over some vacuous TV dolly bird? He was already trying to think up something to excuse his very out of character behaviour when she did turn around. He opened his mouth and suddenly his mind went blank.

Alana had no warning for what or who faced her.

That gorgeous brooding stranger was right in front of her. They were standing alone in an eighty thousand seat capacity stadium but to Alana in that moment it shrank to the four square feet surrounding them. The blood seemed to thicken in her veins, her heart pounded in recognition again of some base appreciation of his very masculinity.

He stood with head tilted back, hands in the pockets of his trousers. His coat emphasised his broad shoulders, the olive tone of his skin. They were wide, dark, intelligent and full of something so hot and brazenly sensual that she felt breathless. Her hands gripped her notebooks close to her chest and she was absurdly relieved that she was wearing a long coat, feeling very strangely as if this man could somehow see underneath, as if with just a look he could make her clothes melt away. She shook her head, unaware of what she was doing and to her intense relief she found her voice.

    Overall book rating

Her sense of fear came from an entirely different direction. Pascal winced inwardly at the accusing tone of his voice and the baldness of his statement but he was still reeling from coming face to face with her. His recent assumption that she would prove to be entirely unalluring was blasted to smithereens. She was all at once pale and glowing. Cheeks flushed red from the cold breeze, or something else? That thought had blood rush southwards with an unwelcome lack of control. Her eyes were a unique shade of light green. Her lips were full and soft, not covered in glossy gloop. But since when had righteous indignation made her shake?

The man smiled revealing gleaming strong white teeth and Alana felt momentarily dizzy. If your parcel has not arrived after this time, contact customer services for help. Instead, in this one, we have a heroine dealing with the aftermath of a truly horrific marriage and a hero who while he's never seen the good sign of family and marriage, isn't wholly resistant to them either and he basically spends most of the book trying to convince the heroine that they can be more than really great sex.

What's not to like about that? La primera mitad es bonita y emocionante. Jul 27, Aldara Kamey rated it really liked it. La protagonista es Alana y yo son Aldara Buena lectura para la hora de la comida. Jan 15, sbf rated it really liked it. This was a solid read. I liked that in this one it was the heroine that had a lot of understandable issues with commitment. I personally prefer more over-the-top angst and conflict, but this was still a nice, satisfying story. This was a good read. But did not set my world on fire, but it was interesting enough.

And I loved the epilogue though. Mar 26, Melinda rated it it was ok. Aug 19, Alice M. Black rated it liked it. Aug 03, Shatarupa Dhar rated it really liked it Shelves: Alana is a sports reporter for a television network. She meets Pascal during an Ireland-France match, where they have a rough start as they accuse each other of staring at the other. Pascal propositions her but she runs away.

They again meet when she has to interview him, which he arranged discreetly coz he couldn't get her out of his mind. He is the reclusive billionaire who is sponsoring the six nations championship. Pascal takes his chances and asks her out on a dinner date on camera. But he has to return to Paris. Unable to get her out of his head, he starts long distancing wooing. And succeeds, as Alana cooks him dinner when they meet next. They almost give in to their attraction, but again Alana pulls back. And he had come only for a few hours, such deep is the pull he feels towards her. And when he offers her a weekend of fun, she decides to take up on his no-strings-attached affair, to come out of the dreariness of her past life.

    The French Tycoon's Pregnant Mistress

She is apprehensive of men as her marriage was a living hell, and has left deep emotional scars. Do they find love, after what they have both been through? And when the pregnancy test comes back positive, how do they move forward from there? And with the frenzy of cricket in our country, no other sport is ever noticed! But I had to search this one, and then only I knew it was rugby. Pascal and Alana - I loved their names, it's a quirk of mine, names of characters. You will know what I am talking about after you read the book.

It was very interesting, and different! Pascal, he was such a gentleman, never once forcing Alana to give in. He waits patiently for her to open up. How he cares for her after a run in with her lounge lizards that expression was so funny. It was a bit sad that he doesn't have anyone anymore in his life except Alana and his unborn baby. It was good to read the way she stood up to her late husband's partner in crime.

This book had emotions at all the right places. Abby Green has now become one of my favourite authors. And what a beautiful end, a turn-the-tables kind of marriage proposal! And the epilogue was the sweetest! Aug 30, Sarah rated it really liked it. At time Alana was a bit annoying but did make up for it when she decided to commit to Pascal. I did like pascal and thought he had to work harder that necessary but in end work out for both. A bit disappointed in first love seen. Jan 18, Bookabulary rated it liked it.

The Sheikhs Pregnancy Proposal Harlequin Desire

This book had the typical alpha male but as per usual, it's always good to see them get taken down a peg or two by a good woman. Although AG has some very good HP books, unfortunately, this one did not really stand out.

But don't let that deter you because this was still a good read all-around. This was pretty good. I liked the emotions and complications. I would read this again, but more as for passing the time. I've already read this book several times.

I enjoyed the story. Emotional abuse and painful relationships can make it very hard to trust yourself again never mind anyone else.
