Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I was less than impressed with this book to say the least. The 'Motorstoppmittel' chapter jumps to mind I've read elsewhere that this was actually from tuning a sensitive radio system and engines didn't stop, drivers were told to turn them off so as to not cause interference. The chapter on Ronald Richter which largely is a reproduction of a rambling, non-sensical interview of him is also of particular note in this respect too.

    • Also the author's belief that the performance of the Horten-9 was suppressed is bothersome-of course the Horten brothers would claim their airplane had fantastic performance to get it into production. I can't say that I'm really upset I bought this book, but it's far too speculative and not accurately sourced enough to be considered definitive by any stretch of the imagination.

    It will lead you in some interesting directions if you chose to do your own research.

    However, if you plan on using this as any kind of reference I can hardly recommend that. This book reads like a reference work, and describes a whole lot of interesting projects that the Nazis had completed, were working on, or were planning. A lot more projects than I was aware of, and he introduces plenty of photographs, charts, documents, etc. I found it to be very interesting to read, and you will be surprised about how many secret projects they were working on, and not just in weapons.

    A great source of knowing what the government doesn't want you to know about and has tried to keep the lid on. One person found this helpful. Enjoyed book very much.. But not a good Kindle book! The topic was fascinating, but there were many microfiche copies of documents and reports which re unreadible on Kindle format.

    If you are interested in the subject, I'd recommend you get it in the printed format. I have all of this authors books and all of them have multiple grammatical errors and related errors. Makes me think that no one read the final proof. Book is good outside of above SS Brotherhood of the Bell. Roswell and the Reich: A History of a Breakaway Civilization: Hidden Aerospace Technologies and Psychological Operations.

It's a shame their contributions to science, chemistry, mathematics and a dozen other fields was tarnished by atrocities or covered up by the allies.

      Why they were in such a panic to win quickly?. Yet conventional historians have absolutely failed to provide an adequate picture of the technology, science and weaponry of the Third Reich. Was it government intervention, peer skepticism or just plain intellectual laziness which caused these historians to stop digging?
