So color me utterly confused when chapter two and three is utterly insta-lust between Emma and Gavin.

Not only was it bad development, but Gavin acts like a rude, condescending jerk to her. Thus, there was a serious problem of show and tell, as in the story was showing the readers why to root for James while telling us that Gavin was the one. In fact, it made me like Emma less. Except they continued to make me lose respect for Emma who I started out liking.

At one point he even comments that he'll write the hotel CEO that he has nice hotel, but to the actual service workers he constantly complains and degrades them. I DNFed at chapter six.

Even after reading the extended epilogue, I'm still not sure how I feel about this story and I like that for some reason.

Any story that leaves me conflicted is worthy of praise in my book. Gavin was brooding, sexy and successful. When it came to Emma, it was lust at first sight - for him. For Emma, she couldn't stand the guest at the hotel who made unreasonable demands, harassed the staff, and generally made every shift a living hell.

That is until he 3. That is until he reveals how he really feels. Then her heart opens up and Gavin walks right in. I'm not really sure why James' character was introduced the way it was. It took away from how I felt about Emma in the end. I get that it was to add drama to an otherwise drama-free story, but it wasn't fair to his character and I just felt bad for him. Maybe he'll get his own story so we can see him get his own happy ending? Welcome to the Cameo Hotel was incredibly sweet and made for an easy read.

I really appreciated getting Gavin's POV. It made up for his surliness and bad treatment of everyone and gave me a firmer understanding of his character. If you enjoy a story involving a moody a-hole who turns all warm and fuzzy for the woman who owns his heart, you'll definitely be entertained by this one. May 23, Sabrina rated it really liked it Shelves: Meet Gavin Grayson, douchebag extraordinaire. Taking the pig-tail pulling off the playground and into a five star hotel, he does everything in his power to drive Emma Addison, hotel manager, absolutely crazy.

Until eventually that inner desire of hers to beat him bloody turns into one of complete lust.

Did Gavin change his inexcusable behavior at all during this book? Did I fall deeply and madly in love with him? Should I see a therapist about this jerk addiction? I don't know what it is about these heroes that make me want to kick them in their balls yet somehow by the end of their stories I then want to kiss them all better. I Lynn sure knows how to write a character like this and I found myself loving his story. But I did really like that Gavin didn't change his ways for the heroine, and instead opened up to let us discover the tiny, hidden, sweet part of that personalty.

For me it made the book more realistic and also very intriguing. Pretty much this is just a review on Gavin and how much of a complete cuntbag he was, but I will also say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I do recommend it. The Cameo, 311 West 50th Street

When I read the blurb for this new book, I was immediately intrigued. It was just vague enough for me to become very very curious. Emma is a 25 year old student working at a high end hotel to make some money, so she can pay all her bills. Gavin is a 35 year old Vice President, and a guest at said hotel, a very annoying guest one might say.

Gavin is a bit of an asshole really. But we all know how much I love redeemable I am familiar with K. But we all know how much I love redeemable assholes Lucky for me, they don't!! This was a very nice, sweet and hot story and if you like redeemable assholes as much as I do, I am sure you will love it. It has a bit of angst to it, but not a whole lot. Someone else said this is enemies to lovers That said I enjoyed this read. May 24, KrystalReads added it. Guys should learn to treat ALL women with respect, especially ones they supposedly like!!

I cannot stand Grayson. I am done with this book, unfortunately. Life is too short! May 18, Snow rated it liked it Shelves: And yeah, I think you can guess, where the shit hit the fan, Gavin was awesome, thrilling and all mentioned above in the first part of the book, but then when shit really became real, then he turned into this immature, prickly little shit that annoyed the fuck out of me, therefore, man the fuck up, man May 24, Josiane rated it really liked it. The beginning of this story was a bit rough for me. It felt jerky and the exchanges between the characters made very little sense.

It was like reading about a 7 year old boy who throws rocks at the little girl he likes instead of feeding her ice cream and talking to her. It got better though. Obviously, since I gave it 4 stars. This is a standalone quick read so great book for Memorial weekend. View all 4 comments. Surprising sweet, filled with a whole bunch of sexy and a Grade-A asshole.

the Cameo - Picture of CAMEO Art House Theatre, Fayetteville

I have read a few of this author's books and while I was expecting something a little grittier, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone and content of the book. I was a bit sad that it wasn't quite what I was expecting but equally as happy with the finished product.

Emma is a smart girl and hard-worker. Going to school, working full-time, studying hard to make something of herself for when she finally graduates and gets out Surprising sweet, filled with a whole bunch of sexy and a Grade-A asshole. Going to school, working full-time, studying hard to make something of herself for when she finally graduates and gets out of the hotel. Everything is going according to plan until the worst day ever happens at the up-scale hotel she works at. Not only does the catastrophe never end, but in walks the most beautiful and rudest man on the planet.

Gavin Greyson is a dick. He is customer service's worst nightmare. He complains about everything, like no joke, everything. Unfortunately, he is also quite attractive, rich, equally as hard working and smart. Every night that Emma comes into work he finds herself attempting to cater to his needs. But it is what is behind the ridiculous complaints that I found myself swooning over him. There was certainly some insta-lust and some almost too quick to resolve issues, but this book was filled with sexy banter, sneaking around, some giggles and feels. Even though it wasn't quite what I was expecting, the writing was engaging.

Emma became my hero and perhaps by the end, Gavin even grew on me. It is always a pleasure to read on Ms. Lynn's books and this was no exception. It was a nice summer read, lots of heat and chemistry, witty conversation and banter, interesting side characters and a romance story that pulls at the heartstrings. I have been following KI Lynn for quite some time now and all her books are fantastic, and this one has just about every emotion there is.

You will laugh, cry, get angry, and whoa the sex. I wanted to go in the book and trade places with Emma quite a few times. Emma is a manager for The Cameo Hotel where Gavin decides to check in at. Gavin knows going after her is wrong, so he does the next best thing. Makes her working hours quite the chore.

Gavin does everything he can to make her come to his room. When they finally give into temptation, it is HOT! Is this just a hookup? Or is it forever? You will not regret it. It is hot package of sex and seduction. It is an easy going flirty romance with bite to make your reading pleasurable and sinful. Welcome to the Cameo was definitely my favourite read. Lynn knows how to write a forbidden romance. Welcome to the Cameo Hotel was a true and significant definition of a forbidden romance. Welcome to the Cameo Hotel was a searing hot, luscious and great romance with a plot filled with angst, love and desire. It was a sweltering romance with passion. It was a tender and sweet romance. It was an erotic romance with an appealing plot.

I swear Welcome to the Cameo Hotel felt like a romantic movie. She perfectly weaves her stories to captivate you. Her writing flows deeply that the words just enter your heart and soul. Her writing just absolutely without a doubt makes me feel good. I am addicted to them.

Like, I said she always makes me smile and just sigh dreamily while I read her precious stories. Her books are a light of goodness and allow you just escape into her world for just a few hours. My word, the characters are explosive. Emma is a manager at a hotel and Gavin is an up and coming CEO and you going to love these two.

Emma and Gavin were magnetic. Their chemistry so off the charts and so enjoyable to read. It was next level red hot and off limits with a hint of angst to make it unforgettable. Emma was smart, hard working and sassy. I loved her energy and her smart mouth. But Gavin stole the show. Man, Gavin was wealthy, an asshole, yummy, and alpha. He was sometimes arrogant but that appealed me because I found so damn sexy at times. I want a bite of Gavin. Emma and Gavin truly became on my list of favourite K.

This definitely isn't a Love triangle I Lynn I should have never doubted you, never not once have you let me down.

Ladies I promise you from the moment you start reading this book you fall for it. It pulls you in. I love love that about a story. Emma is such a strong woman. She is Kind and hard working, she has struggled to get to where she is in life. She really holds her own. Even when she meet the Arrogant Arsehole Gavin Grayson.

Gavin has all the making of a hero I knew I was gonna fall hard for and boy did I fall for him. I loved their interactions from the Beginning. I loved watching Emma break down his walls. More than that them coming together was earth shattering I have so much love for that Hotel Wall now. It's so evident these two are meant for each other.

So many instances I felt Julia Roberts in pretty woman Except Emma definitely isn't a Call girl, though Gavin is definitely the billionaire Prince charming This Man Owns My Heart. I Fucking adore him even broken he is still so Swoony. I see myself Re-Reading soon. That's how Phenomenal this story was. My heart breaks for Emma. And for God's Sake don't throw your Kindle please. Weaving her words in a way that keeps you so captivated you're done with the book before you blink. You're so lost in her world, the characters and their story; its nearly impossible to recover from it.

It was unexpected in all the ri K. It was unexpected in all the right ways. The sexual tension was dripping off of my e-reader. Their chemistry and dynamic with one another was so magnetic, I inhaled every single word deep down to my bones.

Gavin is an up and coming CEO staying in the hotel where Emma is the reception manager. What could possibly happen between these two? They're complete opposites, it seems.

This is your member's center

Both in life and on the social scale. But the more you read and get to know these characters, you find yourself seeing that they're the same in so many ways. Self-assured, demanding, arrogant, completely alpha and yummy. You know those smoldering, sexy types - ones used to getting their way? Imagine that tied up in a beautiful, sexy package.

She has to be one of my favorite characters. She's independent, smart, strong, loyal and so incredibly likable. The type of girl you want as your best friend. I fell in love with her spirit and tenacity. When these two collide, the fire sparks, and there is no turning back. Gavin and Emma's story was unexpected, wonderfully written, with the best characters.

It had everything to keep you entertained, and brought out the feels. Happy, anger, angst, kindle-melting sexual tension. Amazing read, and highly recommended. It was very funny, very bantery that's a word This book starts off with Emma, she works the front desk at a very swanky hotel in Boston.
