And for the OP example, you can't really buy things with pennies without spending more time converting them or carefully counting them out, so the true cost in time of picking up a penny is probably seconds. This is extremely way the fuck out there bad logic. This is regarding opportunity cost. And that only comes into play if the alternative action for that time would've made you more money. Sure it might not be worth his effort or maybe risk of back injury from bending down for a penny.
It takes longer than 1 second to pick up a penny, not to mention converting a penny into a liquid asset. If I could magically add coins to my bank account I'd pick them up no matter the value. So it's almost like picking up garbage. You know what I want to do? Pick up like , pennies and then fuck up my back from all the bending over.
All together, that's about 75 quibits for one cent. If it's brown I'll leave it on the ground. And that's if I had a steady stream of pennies to pickup. We don't even use pennies in Canada anymore, we just round off. So, a penny would be pretty much worthless to me. I just realized I make a penny a second. Never did the math before. Why the fuck am I always broke? If you can casually pick up a penny at random within one second you deserve to make 36 dollars an hour. Especially if you can consistently pick up individual pennies wherever you are at any time within one second.
I'll settle for pennies thank you very much. Maybe pennies so I don't have a jingling pocket all day and so I have time to put that into a wallet. So, I'm confused, are you punching out to pick up the penny? Why would I stop making money while bending down to grab it?
I timed it by walking from one side of the room to the other. Then it took me If I didn't have a lid on the jar this drops to 5. Pennies on the ground are literally garbage.
