Works can belong to more than one series.

In some cases, as with Chronicles of Narnia , disagreements about order necessitate the creation of more than one series. If the series has an order, add a number or other descriptor in parenthesis after the series title eg. By default, it sorts by the number, or alphabetically if there is no number. If you want to force a particular order, use the character to divide the number and the descriptor.

So, " 0 prequel " sorts by 0 under the label "prequel. Series was designed to cover groups of books generally understood as such see Wikipedia: Like many concepts in the book world, "series" is a somewhat fluid and contested notion. A good rule of thumb is that series have a conventional name and are intentional creations , on the part of the author or publisher. For now, avoid forcing the issue with mere "lists" of works possessing an arbitrary shared characteristic, such as relating to a particular place.

  • At Peace (The Burg Series Book 2);
  • Customers Also Bought.
  • KITCHEN & BATHROOM CABINET DESIGN & INSTALLATION.

Avoid series that cross authors, unless the authors were or became aware of the series identification eg. Also avoid publisher series, unless the publisher has a true monopoly over the "works" in question. So, the Dummies guides are a series of works. But the Loeb Classical Library is a series of editions, not of works.

Apr 12, La Femme Readers rated it it was amazing. The first installment in the Knight Angels series, Book of Love, fixated me as though I was under a spell. The follow-up, Book of Revenge awakened my admiration for Abra's delightful writing. Its visual storytelling quality and distinguished characters took me through the stages of a well-executed sequel.

Before I start explaining the plot, nothing in this review spoils Book of Love, so if you are interested in reading the Knight Angels series, the twists and turns will come as a surprise. Continued in numerous narratives, I was once again engulfed in the lives of Max, Jane, Emily and Wes. Max and Jane's electrifying bond chilled my being with goose bumps and fear. Emily, first known as a rebel, had grown into an individual she was meant to be. Wes's unexpected power was clearly defined and its animalistic origin was brought to light.

Finally, Greg, Max's evil angel brother, took a backseat while new creatures were welcomed into the mix. Jake, an undercover vampire, contributed a new version of this species. His warm blooded skin and lack of immortality went against the norm, creating a sense of excitement. Another past enemy of Max's, Avery, took the villain role this time around. Her vengeful demeanor and dark attributes made me dislike her off the bat. The back story behind her attitude was stimulating but, also explained the reasoning behind her actions. The element I was most impressed with was the magically delicious world of Winter Wood.

Abra's unique take on a pixie populated land was fun yet indicated the stem of all these unknown character abilities.

The ending left me overwhelmed with questions and a cliffhanger that made me wish I had the third book in my hands! Overall, this installment was even better than the first. The maturity and growth in Abra's style showcased that she is a force to be reckon with. I look forward to experiencing the mysterious flow into the third book, hopefully coming soon! A paranormal romance that explores the depths of love and shows how a past wrong can haunt the future and light the spark of revenge.

That said, despite being a little confused about the relationships that were developed between characters in Book of Love, I felt that Book of Revenge was a good read and I had no problem following the story presented. I liked how character driven Book o A paranormal romance that explores the depths of love and shows how a past wrong can haunt the future and light the spark of revenge.

Editorial Reviews

I liked how character driven Book of Revenge was. Author Abra Ebner is very skilled in creating well developed characters and using the interactions between said characters to produce an interesting plot line. My favorite character from Book of Revenge was Jake Sante. From his introduction into the story, I gathered he was not in the first book. As a new friend of Emily's, Jake's character was a great counterpart to Wes.

The one thing that bothered me about Book of Revenge was that I didn't really feel a connection to Jane. She was just a character in the story, but I couldn't connect to her feelings. It's not as if she had no character development, I just couldn't imagine her as a real person.

I think that this lack of connection affected my total enjoyment of the story. Abra Ebner has written a good story with plenty of plot twists and intrigue to keep readers engrossed in the story unfolding. She uses flashbacks from Max's past to world build and show the motivation behind certain characters and why they are seeking revenge. Ebner also introduces the full spectrum of paranormal characters, such as vampires, shifters, angels and even an elemental pixie. I was impressed with how effectively she blended all of these elements into a well developed story with good characters.

Book of Revenge (Knight Angels, #2) by Abra Ebner

Narration works well, which is the biggest credit I can give Abner since the technique of different POVs is not easy to explore. Out of all this characters, Wess is my favorite. The Knight Angels series opens the door to a new proposal in the field of supernatural literature where the world is composed by many of the figures that makes us crave for this topic and the elements Abner uses to mold the story makes them hers.

With great writing technique an its pace, it will leave you questioning what happened because of the turns it will take. Book of Revenge, where the supernatural world of our narrators will collide with their most feared secrets and their consequences. Jun 23, Pam rated it did not like it. Yeah, I could too. Emily becomes entangled with a classmate who is not as he appears. Max discovers long buried secrets about his parents. Avery befriends Jane while using an alias to exact revenge on Max.

And Jane, poor whiney Jane, discovers that not only was Max previously engaged, but that if he has sex with her, he will probably kill her. Sucks to be you Jane! I still think this series would have been much better if it had focused on Emily and Wes, rather than Max and Jane. This story was incredibly predictable and boring…well maybe not so much when the focus was on Emily and Wes. And I have to add that the ending was the stupidest and most ridiculous thing I have ever read…what the hell was that all about anyway?

OH, I can only hope maybe I have hit on where we might be going from here. That would be the only way I would ever think about picking up a subsequent book in this series! Apr 14, Katie rated it it was amazing Shelves: Book Of Revenge was fantastic. After reading and loving the first book I was super excited for the sequel.

Luckily, I was not disappointed at all. Jane, Wes, Emily, and Max are all back. After the terrifying ordeal at the end of the first book you would think that they would get a break. No such luck for these four. Their relationships are not as safe as they thought they were and this book begins to show that.

New and old people threaten to break the couples apart and their relati Knight Angels: New and old people threaten to break the couples apart and their relationships may not be able to withstand the truths that are revealed. I was pleasantly surprised with Book Of Revenge. I was drawn in from the very first page. Not a single part of the book dragged. I couldn't tell what was coming and I was shocked by what happened multiple times. It was in no way predictable. I had a bit of a hard time with the characters this time.

Everyone seemed to be hiding something and I hated that. They were very changed from the first book and I wanted them back. The only unchanged person was Greg. He was just as evil as always. I am just dying to know more about him. That ending definitely left me hanging! Sep 25, Janell rated it it was amazing Shelves: I bought this book the day it came out, but for some reason I was slow to pick it up and read it. I wasn't sure if I was ready to jump back into the land of multiple POV's. By the time I was on page 5, I was hooked. I thought I really loved Book One, so if that was love I am not quite sure what this is This book was outstanding!!!

By the end of the book I had to slow my pace down because I wasn't ready to say goodbye. Aw so much I bought this book the day it came out, but for some reason I was slow to pick it up and read it. Aw so much love for this author and book. Definitely my favorite Abra book. Actually my kids are standing behind me in my computer chair and my 3 year old just saw this book cover and said "mommy look!

It's your favorite book! Just like the one by your bed" Oct 19, Dion rated it really liked it Shelves: Just a quick review: Jane finds out about max's past, Emily and Wes continue to ge together, and max's ex wants Jane dead. Jan 11, Tia rated it really liked it. After I finished reading this novel, I just had to sit here for a while saying 'holy crap'. I couldn't believe how it ended and was really shocked it went there. It was one of the most shocking ending in a novel series for me. I hope book three holds better information and context for the ending of book two. What in the hell just happened.

I am left hanging! Anywho- I loved it. I felt over twenty emotions at once while reading it.

Really amazing,Well written, the story relly takes you completelly. In this second book the author brings new characters that provides a new an unexpected turn to the story, the end really makes you wanting more!!! Can't wait until the third book! Jan 30, jhae rated it really liked it Shelves: The story is getting more intriguing, Max has always been very vague about his past that he couldnt tell it right away to jane, she would know it anyway!

Oh well, the end left hanging that i wish the 3rd book is out! So i will know what will happen next! I'm highly disappointed in the outcome of this book! It's frustrating when there seems to be no real direction to the story.
