I've read all I can find of her books. Biblio woman Amazon customer. This is a new series for me and I really enjoyed this first book. Since I have been to Hawaii several times, I love the settings. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I only hope Heckman keeps writing.

Her writing makes you feel like you are really at each location she writes about. I've been to the islands and she describes everything perfectly. Oh yes her story lines are fantastic. Don't want to put her books down. This is a new series for me and I really enjoyed this first book.

Since I have been to Hawaii several times, I love the settings. I love Hawaiian settings and have read several mysteries with a Hawaiian locale. I'm onto my second in the KO series.

One person found this helpful. Fun to read about Hawaii and you become friends with the people Very much looking forward to more KO'd. I am sure for anyone that likes mysteries or Hawaii could enjoy this I will be seeing the author at the local library. This is a dreadfully amateurish book. The heroine is a glorified records clerk who acts like a teenager but is permitted to carry a gun.

She is unprofessional to the point of being ridiculous and continually puts herself in danger as no cop worth her salt would. Charcter development, dialogue, plot are incompetent.
