And with all that's going on in his life, he's still tying himself in knots on how to get through to her. How to get her to see what he sees. To trust his feelings. To trust his actions. I know the self-esteem shit wasn't helped by my big mouth and general stupidity, but I can't figure out how to get her to trust that I'm not like that.

That really I'm a decent dude that was just a dumb kid prone to making mistakes. Even though he shouldn't, he's actually shouldering the blame for her misguided feelings! Now, if the first quote of this review is the theme of this book I've spent a great deal, okay all, of my time focusing this review on Saint's issues but there was so much more that happened in this book.

And you know what pisses me off just as much, most of it is overshadowed by, you guessed it, Saint's low self esteem and childish behavior. Nash deserved so much more. He deserved someone who was able to pull their head out of their ass long enough to realize that he was going through one of the most difficult times in his life. Someone who didn't drain what little energy he had, fucking and leaving him, making him prove himself over and over again So, even though I rated this book a low 2. View all 38 comments. Sad to say, she pretty much sucked my enjoyment out of this book. I'm all for heroines who have some insecurities one way or the other. If done right and sparingly, the heroine could end up likable and relatable. In this book, Saint's insecurities was way too heavy. It suffocated the fun right out of the book. Frankly, Saint was mean, whiny, and just generally unlikable. I did like Nash, very Would have been a better book if it hadn't been for Saint. I did like Nash, very much but it wasn't enough to save the book for me.

Jay Crownover Release Date: April 29, Rating: I think I always have this strong urge to read another book by Jay Crownover immediately after finishing and closing the one I am done with. I recommend doing the same. I am glad that Nash was as entertaining and heart fluttering romance as the previous books In this series.

I always thought about him as of one of this men that look like grizzly bears but really are sweet teddy bears, awesome to cuddle with. I was not mistaken, Nash really is swoon worthy and very gentle; his rocking tats and piercings are only tats and piercings not bad attitude. So, yep, he made me melt! Saint was a tough cookie to crack… I wanted to like her, as she definitely was very caring, compassionate person. And I thought I would make good friends with her in real life, but she was very annoying as a woman in love with Nash. Her insecurities and sometimes dumbass actions were giving me serious case of headache.

My eyes were rolling, and rolling, and rolling. Fortunately, at the end of the book she finally started to be likeable. As usual, the sex was steamy but not over the top, so the plot and action were perfectly balanced. I got some heart racing swoony moments, also. I cried a little bit, and I laughed while seeing and reading about the rest of the crew. Overall, solid 4 star read! I cannot wait for more. View all 26 comments.

Marked men

You know how I love the sexy man-whore who falls only for "the one" girl kind of story. And you know these books are always about that! First person, Dual POV. Flawless, emotional and sweet. These books just keep on being amazing. Nobody tops Rule on my book, but Nash was pretty close. I just loved him. Yes, she ended up redeeming herself, but for the most part of the book I just wanted to hit her hear against a wall to see if I could put some sense into her.

Saint…I swear I go into books wanting to like the females…I really, really do!! It just never seems to happen for me. Um…that would be YES! I also loved catching up with the other Marked Men. What did I love the most? Rule Fucking Archer The wedding scene was the best, and it cements Rule in my heart forever.

Rule you rock my socks off, and if I could jump into Book Land I would leave it all behind for you View all 43 comments. Because Saint was a really nice girl, but she had so many fuckin' issues inside of her that made me really, really angry She was so great and perfect but she wasn't having a fuckin' idea how perfect she was!!! He was perfect too, as all of the rest "marked" men and their matches Yep, i loved and this book in this series But I'm really afraid for myself when i will finish reading the next two books I'm afraid that at this point i might be beyond repair from this addiction For once again, i was thinking to take a break and read something else, but now i want so badly to find out everything about Rowdy and Salem And i'm so eager to learn how a cop will fall in love with an ex-criminal!!!!

I have to continue this series until the end I'm a lost cause!!! Well, Nash was one of the gang. He was the most kind and sweet of all of them. Of course his appearance was terrifying also Tatoos, piercings, large frame Anybody who watch that guy thought nothing good about him But for once again, they were all wrong!!! Well, Nash's life wasn't easy too. At the end of the previous book, a very favorite person of him and mentor of all the other member of Marked was diagnosed with lung cancer. Phil was Nash's uncle and he was the only one who was closer to a fatherly figure for him.

But lately he discovered that his life was full of secrets and Phil was keeping a big one from him Well, Nash had a shitty relation with his mother and her husband They didn't treated him right when he was just an innocent kid and her mother used to take her husband's side all the time So when he was old enough, he went to live with uncle Phil and everything changed in his life.

Now was a tattoo artist and he was having a big family that was aparting from good and real friends The only things that were missing from his life was a man to call father and the love of a woman. And he got them both under some weird circumstances Saint was a nurse and she was focused in her job.

Two years before her family torn apart from his father's affair and since then her mother's mental health wasn't in good shape She was a very close person and she was happy to live inside her protective bubble. Until Nash Donovan got in her way and burst her bubble for second time You see, Saint and Nash went to the same school but they were running in totally different circles Back then, Saint was very different from nowadays in the appearance and the kids made fun of her.

Two Marked Men — Truth Magazine Online

She used to have a crush for Nash and in some point she thought that they could be much more than two people that just say hello when they run into each other But her insecurity led her in some false conclusions that stayed with her for the rest of her life. Her heart shattered from teenager Nash and she started to feel hate about him But the circumstances made them to meet each other again after all these years and something drown them to each other Nash for first time in his life started to feel something strong for a woman who used to sympathize in school, but Saint confused him.

Some times, she seems nice and sweet and caring, but other times she seems to dislike him and he doesn't know what to do about that. Saint from the other hand, she started to feel things for Nash but after what happened back then she can not trust him. Will they figure out the situation??? She will learn to trust him or she will keep close the door to her heart??? Nash will continue to fight for having her complete his??? Or Saint's low self-respect and insecurity will split them apart forever???? I have to say that i really had a great time with this story too, but i really wanted to shake up Saint for waking her up She was feeling so badly about herself that pissed me off more that once In some point, i thought that her behaviour was out of control and soooo From the other hand was Nash, who really broke my heart with all the things that he had to deal Everything was tough for him and plus that he had to chase Saint all the time and he was trying so hard to show her that he was worthy for her love and trust But she was so lost in her mind that made me crazy and Nash unhappy!!!!

Beyond the above things, i want to say that Nash's mother was a fuckin' awful bitch Why the hell these kind of persons give birth to another human being??? She wasn't having any motherely filter at all I have to say that i liked Phil very much, even though he kept that secret for so long time. He was always there not only for Nash, but for all the other guys And i really liked the fact that he was taking care for every one of them, even at the end he took care for Rowdy's future also!!!

I liked that in every book, i see my favorites dudes and girls from the previous books and every time i found out how they continue with their lives I really like the bond that had informed between them all this guys!!! It's wonderfull and unique!!! Rowdy i'm really curious about your book!!! View all 4 comments. Jan 03, Rachel Naughton rated it it was amazing. I adored this book. Saint knew and was affected by him in high school, not always in a good way, but not everything was what it seems. They meet again as adults after Rome, Nash's close friend, lands himself in the hospital where she is a nurse. Though there is an obvious attraction, there is a giant shadow of hurt that dulls it on Saint's end. The attraction won't go away and as they are thrus Nash is not the same person he was as a boy.

The attraction won't go away and as they are thrust together more often, they have to work through the past to open themselves up to a future. I enjoyed the story though being inside Saint's head could be frustrating sometimes. She was understandingly insecure at first but took a while to really accept that Nash cared for her. On the other hand, she seemed to almost morph and flourish when she was working or trying to support her new friends. I was happy Nash was able to reconcile his relationships with his parents though it wasn't easy to do. The emotion was done well.

Them as a couple worked but I didn't warn up to Saint right away. The sex was kind of a mess at first but eventually gets better as they grow closer. All in all a good read. From the first book, it was obvious he was a great guy, sweet, easy going and definitely rocking a hot body.

This book only reinforced that tenfold! It was so easy to fall for Nash. He was perfect even with his flaws. Saint Ford knows Nash from high school where she was shy, awkward, overwe 3. Saint Ford knows Nash from high school where she was shy, awkward, overweight and teased. This girl has some huge trust and self-esteem issues. And while I easily empathized with Saint about her fears and insecurities; she was frustrating at best and down right nauseating with her over reactions and paralyzing stupidity even when ALL of Nash's actions and words were contrary to any misgivings she had!

I had really wanted to like her. I'll admit that she is a great nurse, I loved her move with the flowers and the way she interacted with Royal for the most part made me think that she could be a good friend. It was only towards the end that I finally had an inkling of like towards her. Any girl would be lucky to have a hot, sexy sweet guy like Nash And finally she got it!

Seriously, I'm not belittling her issues as they are real and can do some significant damage. It was just a constant and perhaps if her realization had come sooner or her battle had been less in your face it would have been more bearable. All that aside, this was still a great read because I can't resist Ms.

Crownover's motley crew of hot, sexy, marked men - with Rule Archer forever leading the pack and capturing my heart - and their ladies as they are just an irresistible family that I can't help but love. I swear i felt like this through the whole book..

I would rate this higher, but I don't think I have enough self esteem Saint and her insecurities drained all mine out of me This started off great and, after watching these two interact in the previous books, I was really excited for this story. Nash was great and the full cast of all our friends of course made it heart-warming. I fucking HATED middle school and high school college on the other hand was a party and a half, but I drunkenly digress Obviously, she finally comes around, but good grief, she was starting to piss me off getting there.

I think if that part of her personality had been toned down just a little, I would have enjoyed the story more, but to each their own. Let it float up Saint, damn! View all 10 comments. Dec 31, Polly rated it liked it Shelves: Honestly, even if I had never read another book by this author it still would not have been great.

So we have Nash PS: All my tattoo book men look like M Shadows, why because he's fucking perfect that's why He had just found out some major things that changed his perception on his fa 3-this series is rapidly declining stars I went in refusing to compare this book to Rule my all time 2 BBF because that's what I've done in the past. He had just found out some major things that changed his perception on his family. Instead of dealing he holes up into his apartment for a week and smokes and drinks. Sadly, I never really warmed up to him. He was just ok Then there's Saint Saint who I spent the majority of the book wanting to do this: See apparently in high school, Saint was a bit over weight.

She had a huge crush on Nash. One day she "assumes" that Nash is talking about her when she overhears him making some off hand remark about some chick that is too ugly to get laid. As soon as she graduates she flees the state and let that ONE assumption dictate the rest of her life. Her and Nash keep getting thrown together. They soon begin to date. She never really gets over her own insecurities. She thinks all men are dogs and they will always cheat, so she never lets anyone get close.

So on we go. They are cruising along. Saint never wants to admit she loves him and then "something" happens. Well Nash was a dumbass in this situation BUT nothing really happened. So what does she do? She flees to go see her equally crazy although she has a reason to be mother instead of getting an explanation. She stays gone until she finds out Nash needs her.

Then she finally has a "aha" moment and can't live with out him. By that point I could really care less. Since book 1 I know I know comparing all the female leads in this series have been weak and annoying. Do I have high hopes? His girl seems bad ass, but then so did Cora and we all know how that turned out. Will I read it? View all 13 comments. My love for this author just grew with each book in the Marked Men series.

Knowing Nash Donovan was going to get his time in the spotlight had me more than anxiously waiting! After all his friends are his true family. He has lived his life as an outcast in a home with a self-absorbed mother. He is in a complete loss as to handle this news as time is ticking for his grasp of his new reality. Since the "Marked" men spend quite a bit of time in the local hospital the introduction of super nurse Saint Ford was inevitable. She is no stranger to Nash and the boys. She is a blast from the past, only she was the overweight, shy, unpopular girl who longed for just a simply hello from Nash Donovan.

She is unable to get over the effects of having never been good enough and she has a huge chip on her shoulder. In a fairly predictable manner, Nash is drawn to Saint. He has always been drawn to her goodness, yet he cannot understand her cold behavior. Saint does not make life easy as she runs cold and burning hot for the tattooed bad boy who sets her on fire like no other man. The majority of this book is spend with Nash thinking about Saint, and wanting to be with her, but she is a mess. She comes onto him, then leaves. She wants him, then pushes away. She wants to go back in time and do all the things that a couple would have done in high school, such as make out or ice skate.

I had a really hard time connecting with this character. He had a lot of emotions to deal with and he was completely believable and swoon worthy. I honestly wish that he would have had a female counterpart worthy of his affection. Instead Saint refused to see Nash for anything more than the bully from her past. I just could not get past my issues with Saint. Also, I didnt think there was the same level of chemistry found in prior books.

Nash oozed sex appeal with his body dragon and I wanted Saint to revel in him. Nash was nothing but good and she needed too much reassurance too often. Saint was only truly in character when she was in her profession. She had good qualities but unless she was caring for someone, she was fairly empty to me!!!! Apr 30, Nikki rated it it was ok Shelves: And the winner for Best Succubus in a Novel or Series goes too Don't she look purty? Saint is a succubus. She was a succubus on page 1 through to the bitter end. I am no raging feminist but this beotch literally could have set the woman's movement back light ages with her drama and shit.

Basing her whole miserable existence on something she "thought" someone said about her. I had a really hard time trying to relate to her and her so-called insecurities. She was the little caterpillar in high school, perhaps a little pudgy, a few breakouts the horror!! Nash was the popular bad boy that she crushed on and just stomped her heart to pieces with supposed here-say. Who does not look back on their high school photos or high school in general and not cringe??

That was like my war hymn chant throughout the entire book. I really liked him, he was a sweet little lamb, wrapped in crazy tattoos and a hot bod. What a patient dude, especially dealing with the succubus and all sorts of other drama in his life. You know a book is not going well, when you wish "mis-understandings" were actually happening. I hated this heroine. A book ruin-er, if that was an actual word. Not sure I am going to continue on with this series after this one.

She knew him as a kid and was there for him in ways nobody else was. He was in love with her sister. There was always a connection but when she left, Salem left a big hole in his heart. A heart that was then shredded by her sister in a different way. When a wise mutual friend brings them back together, the connection changes.

They are attracted to each other as more than friends. They have quite a few issues to work through but as they do, their relationshi Rowdy and Salem have a lot of history. They have quite a few issues to work through but as they do, their relationship starts to build a good foundation. The past clashes with the present even more when Poppy, Salem's sister, re-enters the picture. I'm really happy with how Rowdy handles it all and appreciative of how put together he is. Throw in some sexy and I didn't want to put this down.

Salem was pretty awesome herself and found herself fitting in with the group seamlessly. The book's dramatic moments were done well. The characters had unique traits that kept me interested. The plot maximized their strengths and showcased growth. Their lovemaking was hot as hell! View all 14 comments. Jun 12, Geri Reads rated it really liked it.

I liked this book much better than I did Nash. Salem is a kick-ass heroine and Rowdy is just delish. I know some of you might have reservation about the fact that Rowdy was involved with Salem's sister before and that Rowdy considered Poppy the 'one' except that she rejected him. I have reservations too simply because I don't want my heroine to be the second best or the default choice for the hero, KWIM?

Well, let me put your fears and concerns to rest. Jay Crownover did a stellar job 4-ish stars! Jay Crownover did a stellar job in convincing me that Salem was it for Rowdy and that she wasn't his second choice. First off, view spoiler [Rowdy and Poppy was never together 'together'.

Yes, he did ask her to marry him hide spoiler ] but he has his reasons. Reasons that made sense once everything came to light. I won't explain how exactly that worked in the context of the story but if you'll read this book, you'll know. Second, view spoiler [Salem and Rowdy did form a connection prior to them meeting again years later. It was intense and it left Rowdy feeling bereft and betrayed when Salem left. But I have to say, I was very satisfied with the whole 'I'm in love with the guy who used to be in love with sister' kind of scenario.

Salem's apprehension and Rowdy's determination to convince her otherwise was wonderfully laid out. The drama wasn't forced, and as I've said, Salem was the bomb. She's my favorite next to Shaw. Another fantastic thing about this book was the glimpse of the past characters and the things that are happening in their respective lives. And this story also builds the foundation for Asa's story, which is going to be the next book. So why only 4-ish? There were some elements concerning Rowdy's past that were introduced only to be brushed aside later.

It wasn't really developed, IMO. It was good but I wish there was more of that. Other than that, and the addition of more ridiculous names albeit some of them are edgy and cool drove me nuts. Who knows what name JayCrow will think of next? On a serious note, I really liked this book. And yes, I'm definitely looking forward to Asa and Royal's book.

I was drawn into this self made family and became a distant cousin from afar. I was able to root for them, wish them to overcome all of the trials and hurdles to find their way to the women who held their hearts.

The author created a flesh and blood world I could believe and I was there for every installment. This book focused on Rowdy was no exception. It was intense; layered with all the understandable damage bonding these people together. It had a symmetry to it It could break your heart if you pondered it too much Salem was a strong and wonderful love match for Rowdy I got her right away and was in her corner.

I appreciated how all of the characters from the past books united around Rowdy and how this family is always part of the story The layering of secondary stories work well for the current flow and to lay foundation for the next book revolving around others. These books work for me but there is only one Major Complaint I have overall All of the covers for this series are off the mark I don't know who is making these decisions, but for me The images for these men don't live up to strong impressions I get from the detailed and explicit writing I think we may see another Marked Man coming at some point I will be front and center to see what happens with my Marked Men family.

I swear to you that this is the first time that i read so many books from the same series in the row I don't think that it will be ever enough for me I have only one story left and i'm really wondering how i will protect myself from this intoxication!!! Well, Rowdy's and Salem story was magnificent!!!

I enjoyed it so much and i loved it more than all the others And Rule and Shaw's story was awesome And Jet and Ayden's story was amazing And Rome and Cora's story was the very best And Nash and Saint were pretty good!!! And Asa and Royal's story i'm certain that will be fuckin' great!!! I love them all for different reasons They are unique and every story had me on edge I don't want to ever stop reading about these amazing people!!!

If you manage to persuade those boys to make that "Marked" callendar, i want one too!!! But enough with that I have so much to tell you about Rowdy and Salem Did i mention that i love them??? Well, at the previous book, Phil told to Nash to hire a girl that he knew from Las Vegas for the new shop Nash got in touch with Salem Cruz who didn't seem very hot about accepting the job, but when he mentioned her to check the staff's website as Phil told him to do, the things changed and Salem accepted.

So, at the end we discovered that Salem and Rowdy known each other very well You see, Rowdy was an orphan that after the murder of his mother got to the care of a foster family somewhere in Mexico. He was so lonely and in some point the two girls from the next door tried to built a friendship with him and they succeeded. And from that moment the three of them were inseparable The one of those girls was Salem and the other girl was her sister, Poppy. Poppy was the only girl who Rowdy ever loved and she crushed his heart.

So, you probably wonder why the hell Salem jump like crazy to the opportunity to go back to Rowdy!!! Yeah, i was having the same question But everything are pretty clear to me now Rowdy as we already know was one of the Marked men. Back in college used to be an athlete, but he always loved art and in some point Phil found him somewhere while he was wandering and took him with him in Denver and in the family.

He was very funny, kind and beautiful, as all those men. The inks in his body was saying a big story as all the other guys inks. Once he fell in love with a perfect girl and he though that she was the one and only, until she shattered his heart and turned his world upside down. He thought that the first girl that you ever love in your life will be the only person that you will love forever and if you can't be with that person, you will not have a second chance.

So, at this point, he change the women in his bed like a shirt and he is trying to have a great time Except his little "family" from friends, he doesn't trust anybody to come close to his heart because all the people back in his past that he ever relied to and loved, for one or another way, they left him alone. So when Salem gets back into his life Salem's life until she turned eighteen was bad and awful.

Her father was a man of a God and he was very strict. All the time she was forced to follow rules and she was no good at this. Her only sunshine in a grey life was Rowdy, the little boy next door who was so stuck to her that he could do anything to make her happy But when she turned eighteen, she couldn't tolerate anymore this kind of life and she run away The only thorns inside her heart was that she left behind her sister Poppy and Rowdy.

But they were having one another This boy was always having eyes for her little sister. From that moment, she never stayed in one place and she lived a full life, but always something was missing Always she was thinking about the lovely little boy that made her smile And when she found out that Rowdy was in Denver, she didn't stop to think it twice. So she left everything behind and she chased her second chance with him But the things wasn't good for a long time. Rowdy refused to acknowledge her presence and made it clear that he didn't want her there.

His biggest problem turned out to be that he's been afraid that Salem will leave him again and if he'll get attached with her, his heart won't haddle it if she bail on him for second time But Salem insisted and when they finally manage to get in the same page, the past came to hunt Salem this time and forced her to pull away from Rowdy Will they manage to overcome the ghosts of their past and to create something bigger that will be every last thing in their lives????

Will they realise that they loved each other from way back then but the circumstances tear them apart??? Will they manage to create new happy memories together??? And finally will they overcome all the new challenges that life thrown to their legs???? I loved, loved, loved, loved that story very much!!! Rowdy was sweet and caring and funny He was having a really big heart, he was just afraid that he got hurt And Salem was fiesty, independent and self-assured. I really liked the two of them when they were together and when they were not. Their love story was intense and made me drool And now, i can not wait to learn everything about Asa and Royal How the criminal and the cop will manage to fall in love with each other????

These two were best friends and first loves, even though neither of them realized it. This was a great story of working through their past, their fears and learning to trust each other again. I want you to be the last girl that touches any and all parts of me. Salem, and that means so much more than a first. Not even a little drama, which just did not sit with me given the circumstances.

I am really looking forward to Asa and Royal. View all 22 comments. Sep 13, Michelle rated it it was amazing Shelves: View all 17 comments. The history that Rowdy and Salem share is felt from the very first page.

Marked Men - Ghosts (full album)

Both of their childhoods broke my heart and I could see why they bonded and clung to each other. Rowdy was the lonely boy next door, living with a foster family after the death of his mother. Salem was the girl next door burdened by the rules and strict church-going lifestyle enforced by her father. They found a comfort and ease with each other. Neither had expectations or passed judgment. They were allowed to just "be" when they were together. I wanted to soothe him but I also wanted to watch what happened when someone with that much untapped potential was set free.

I wanted to live through him and stand beside him so I could feel what finally being untethered from the chains of conformity felt like. I also wanted to hug him and tell him it was okay to be sad, to be angry, to be lost and frustrated. I wanted to tell him he was all right just the way he was, like I so desperately longed to hear. At 18, Salem couldn't take her father's control any longer and blew out of town Rowdy felt her abandonment deeply, so he clung to the only safety net he felt he had But Poppy ends up breaking his heart, just like her sister did.

And now Rowdy has sworn off love and anything more than random hookups and one night stands. Why invest in someone when they'll eventually leave you? But what happens when Salem shows up at his shop as the new manager?

    Quick Reference

When his past comes crashing through his front door and refuses to leave? It was so hard to keep the memories at bay once the door they had all been closed behind was flung open. One after another they chased me across all of my waking hours and danced behind my eyelids at night. Salem is a determined woman, and she came to Denver with one thought in mind She'll do whatever it takes to prove and show Rowdy that she's here to stay, that she's here for him and that she won't turn her back on him ever again. For the first time in his life, Rowdy has to face his fears and trust his heart.

He has to examine his true feelings for Salem, figure out where Poppy fits into all of that and dig deep to discover that maybe he is worth having someone stick around for. Maybe he needs to readjust his thinking about what it means to have your "one and only. There's the first girl you slow-dance with, and the first girl you go to bed with. There's the first girl to give you a kiss, and then the first one you take home to your mama. There's the first girl you fight with and the first girl you fight for. There's also the first girl you have to let go of. There's the first girl you love, obviously, and the first girl to break your heart.

There's always a first girl, Rowdy, but there is also the girl that is going to come after her until you get to the last girl. The last girl is the one that really matters. Everything about them together was the perfect balance. It was plain to see, without a doubt, that they belonged together.

It might be wild, uninhibited, and a little dirty, but sex with him still felt like a safer place than I had ever been before. For every thrust, every tilt of the hips, every touch of a mouth on a needy body part, the other had the perfect response. She moved with me, held on to me, and used her body to make it more than sex. I felt her inside of me somewhere making a place for herself.

Unfortunately, the second half of this book began to lose me. It wasn't about Rowdy and Salem anymore but all of this outside drama. A plot involving Rowdy's past, crazy drama with Poppy's life and setting up Asa's book. Just too much outside crap. It wasn't as much about the two of them figuring things out as it was the two of them dealing with everyone else's shit. Also, this book had a bunch of editing issues. Missing words, crazy long run on sentences and just weird sentence structure. I had to go back and reread sentences to figure out what was being said or what point was being made.

However, even though the overall book didn't quite meet my expectations, Salem and Rowdy certainly did. Their connection was rooted in friendship, acceptance, understanding and love. They're easily my second favorite couple in this series, behind Rule and Shaw. I've always needed a reason to stay; with you that has never been the case. With you staying is the only option I have because the only place I want to be is wherever you are at.

He's still holding a grudge over something that happened over a decade ago, when he was fifteen! Damn son, that's a long time to be up in arms over something. It's is not like Salem did something unforgivable, she just moved out when she was 18 because she couldn't stand to live under her tyrannical father anymore.

Why is he still crying about that? Hi There was nothing really remarkable here. His "everyone leaves me" spiel was repeated so damn much and just got annoying after the second time. And then the whole thing about his "first love. True love right there. I'm just glad it didn't turn into a love triangle when she came around. And what's up with all the corny heartfelt talks all these men have with each other? They seriously just sit around talking about their feelings. Overall, this wasn't really my cup of tea.

I have zero passages highlighted and that's a sure sign that I won't be coming back to this book. Dec 31, Polly rated it it was amazing Shelves: It's no secret I've felt this series has gone so down hill. I really didn't like the last 2 books at all. I'm happy to say Rowdy was amazing!! Perfect second chance romance with no over the top angst.

La historia de los Cruz y Poppy es muy triste, espero que la hermana de Salem tenga su propia historia para resarcirse.

This was much better then Nash, for sure, but I think this series just can not beat the 1st book for me. Which is probably why I throw up in my mouth a bit when we get the obligatory reunion with all of the other characters from the other books ala a Samantha Young or Abbi Glines series I am trying 3 Dowdy Rowdy Stars I will probably be in the minority here cuz Which is probably why I throw up in my mouth a bit when we get the obligatory reunion with all of the other characters from the other books ala a Samantha Young or Abbi Glines series I am trying to block from my mind.

Salem is definitely fiesty and Rowdy is definitely sweet and hot, but he was like pining for her sister for so long that I just didn't get the feels from them. So they reconnect years later, so what?? And then there was a ton of back and forth. A bit of this A bit of that And yeah, thats pretty much it. I felt the sex was tepid due to the above mentioned points lol but again this is probably just my deal as I should know better to read a series that has more than 3 books.

So my bad, oops I did it again. Leaving behind a big gap in his young heart. She was my very best friend and I was lost without her. James was orphaned at the tender age of six. He had been abandoned by one Cruz sister at fifteen. And the one he thought was his first love shattered his heart when she told him he was not right for her. Because resolute in showing Rowdy St. Salem had been the one person who truly understood him. She had been his happy harbor until she left without a backward glance. She also serves to remind him of the hurt her sister had caused.

And the fact that Rowdy thought he had loved and lost his one true love is a huge matter of concern for Salem. I felt a fist around my heart for all his loss, but elated by how he had made his own happiness. He was charming and sexy and once he got over being mad a Salem, he knew exactly how to take care her. Sassy and sexy and just perfect for Rowdy. She fit perfectly and seamlessly with the tight-knit Marked family. Facing a past with so many sad memories is not easy. They both had to familiarize with the grownups they had become and come to the realization that what they had as teenagers was so much more.

Rowdy and Salem slowly and surely worked on the issues from their past in order to look forward to their future in a way I very much enjoyed throughout this story about letting go of fear and enjoying what life brings, laced with sweet tender moments as well as a hot, explosive romance. I liked the way our ink blended together into one giant mural. I trust her to deliver a beautiful story that will touch my heart with the depth of feelings the characters have for one another.

I wish I was sorry for going overboard with the review, the teasers and the pics, but I'm not really: Rowdy is book 5 in the Marked Men series by Jay Crownover. It can be read as a standalone. Written from both points of view. It has interconnecting characters from past books, with a beautiful happy ending.
